Let’s Be Friends Indy, a local group aimed at fostering friendships among women, has grown to more than 20,000 members since its inception in 2020.

Founded by Bridget Lockert, Friends Indy focuses on combating loneliness and helping women connect meaningfully. The group’s mission aligns with the rising issue of loneliness among adults, especially those who have undergone life changes or moved to new areas.

Visit Indy announced that Indianapolis has been named one of the top 14 places to visit in 2026 by Condé Nast Traveler. The city is gearing up to attract 30 million annual visitors, significantly contributing to an estimated $5.8 billion in economic impact.

Patty Spitler, former WISH-TV Anchor and Entertainment Reporter, and current host of Pet Pals TV and Great Day TV, has released a book titled "The Dog Who Saved My Life." The book shares personal stories from Spitler's life, including her childhood memories of growing up in Dayton, Ohio, her radio DJ jobs as a teenager, and her journey to becoming a TV personality. The book is named in honor of her late dog, Louie, who helped her recover from depression after dealing with hearing loss.
