It's here! It's finally here! Stories from you and TO YOU! I'm so excited to share your amazing Kent experiences with our listener community. Thank you to everyone who submitted listener stories. We got many, so I hope to do another Listener Story episode again in the future.

Thank you also to Nicole for agreeing to record this episode with me! I needed someone to banter with!

In this episode, we mention the Haymaker Farmer's Market, Scribbles, Bella Vita, Ray's Place, and Over Easy at the Depot. Guess what! We have episodes about all of those businesses and organizations! Check out our library of episodes to hear them!

I think if every town had a mayor as casual, kind, and down-to-earth as Mayor Jack, the world might be a better place. That being said, I really didn't know what exactly the job title of "mayor" entailed…until this conversation! I'm bringing you along with me just in case you are as curious (and clueless) as I was.

In this episode, we mention City Manager, Dave Ruller. Guess what! He was a guest on the podcast last season! Check out our library of episodes to hear it!

Want to learn more about what Mayor Jack does? Check out his page on the City of Kent website.

Everyone needs someone like Sherry in their life. She's full of fun energy and warm fuzzies. I truly cannot imagine a better personality to lead a wellness business. Sherry is the owner of Bella Vita Wellness, which, as you will hear, is NOT a yoga studio!!! So stop calling it that….(if you have called it that, don't worry, we still love you.) You will love hearing this conversation and you'll be very informed about what Bella Vita actually is once you get to the end of the episode. You'll also be very (read: over-) informed about bodily functions during fitness classes…fair warning…but also, prepare to cackle along with us.

In this episode, Sherry mentioned a few different Kent businesses including North Water Brewing. Guess what! We have an episode about them! Check our library of episodes on the Main Street Kent website to listen to the stories behind those local businesses.

Listener Stories are being incorporated into this season! What does that mean? It means that YOU can share your awesome experience about a local business with us and we will read it on the podcast! To share a listener story with us, here's what we ask:

1. Type up your testimonial story in a Word document or Google document (or something like it).

2. Send the document to info@mainstreetkent.org

3. Let us know if we can use your name or not! (If you don't give us explicit permission, I will leave the story anonymous!)

Your story can be as long, formal, silly or grammatically incorrect, as you want it to be! I'm so excited to hear from you!
