In this episode, I’m talking about the Kajabi Community product and why it’s become a much bigger deal since the recent updates to Kajabi’s plans. With Kajabi’s latest changes, the Community product and unlimited access groups are now included in all plans, from Kickstarter to Pro. Previously, each access group counted against your product quota, which made communities feel expensive or restrictive to use. That limitation is now gone. This change reflects Kajabi’s broader evolution toward better supporting what creators actually need. Community engagement has become essential for anyone building an audience, brand, or online business. What the Kajabi Community Product Is (and Isn’t) The Community product isn’t automatically created for you. If you don’t set it up, it won’t exist in your account. To get started, you’ll need to go into Products in the Kajabi menu and choose either All Products or Community. From there, you can create your Community space. The key thing you’ll need is an access group. Think of an access group as a user group inside your Community. A simple way to begin is to create one access group and treat that as your main community. Anyone in that group will be able to use the Community features you allow. How Access Groups Work with Offers From a technical perspective, access groups are tied to offers. If you’re selling something in Kajabi and want buyers to access your Community, you’ll add the access group to the list of products included in that offer. When someone completes checkout, they’re automatically added to that access group. Inside the Community, what someone can see or do depends on which access groups they belong to. Because access groups are now unlimited, you can create multiple levels of access without worrying about product limits. Using Community for Free and Paid Engagement One powerful way to use Kajabi Community is as a free entry point for your audience. Instead of relying on Facebook groups or external platforms, you can bring people directly into your Kajabi ecosystem. This means: You automatically collect email addressesMembers get used to your platformThey already have a login and profile This removes mental barriers later when you want to sell something. Your audience already knows how to access your content, which makes purchasing much easier. On top of a free community tier, you can also create paid tiers. These might include: Weekly coaching or Q&A sessionsExclusive discussionsHigher-level engagement or support Each paid tier simply uses a different access group attached to a paid offer. A member can belong to both a free access group and one or more paid access groups at the same time. What You Can Do Inside Kajabi Community The Community product is large and feature-rich, which can feel overwhelming at first. Inside the Community, you can: Chat and direct message membersCreate forums and discussion threadsSend video messagesHost group rooms or one-on-one video spacesRun challenges and assign pointsUse leaderboardsHost meetups with RSVP functionalityEmbed content like pages, courses, websites, or YouTube playlists You can also customise names, emojis, and settings, and create user guidelines that members must agree to when they join. While some users report occasional glitches, many people use the Community product successfully. Kajabi is investing heavily in it, and improvements continue to roll out. How to Test the Community Experience Properly If you’re serious about using Kajabi Community, it’s important to experience it from the user’s perspective. Create an account for yourself as a user and grant that account access to the Community. Make sure...

  • Free & Low-Cost Alternatives for SEO, Scheduling & Video (Tools I Use Alongside Kajabi)
    Dec 29 2025
Episode 73 Summary In this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes, I share the free and low-cost tools I use alongside Kajabi to run my business efficiently. I cover Google Search Console and Google Analytics for website insights, cal.com for scheduling, Google Meet for video calls, Loom for video messaging, and Descript for podcast recording and editing. I also touch on Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps, Ahrefs Webmaster Tools for SEO, and the AI tools I use, including Gemini, ChatGPT, and Midjourney. This episode is perfect for anyone looking to keep costs low while building smart systems. I’ve got some things that may help you with Kajabi: Kajabi in 5 Minutes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Kajabiin5Minutes Kajabi 30 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/30days-kajabi Kajabi Blog: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/blog Kajabi Code course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/code Kajabi SEO course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/seo These next promotions are only active for a short time throughout the year 3 Months for $99: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/3months-for-99 60 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/60-day-trial 50% off for 12 Months: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/kajabi-half-price Episode Overview Introduction Welcome to this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes. Today, I’m stepping slightly outside my usual Kajabi-only focus to share some of the tools I use alongside Kajabi in my business. These are tools I’ve found genuinely helpful, especially if you’re looking to keep costs low while still running things efficiently. Google Search Console Google Search Console is a free tool provided by Google for anyone who owns a website. It shows you how your site performs in organic search, including which queries people use to find your pages. While it takes a little time to get used to the interface, it’s much simpler than Google Analytics. You can see which pages are bringing in traffic and what search terms are acting as organic traffic magnets. I don’t check it weekly, but every time I log in, I find useful insights—and it’s free. Google Analytics I also use Google Analytics, although I find it more complicated. The main difference is that Google Analytics shows all traffic sources, including direct visits and referrals, while Google Search Console focuses purely on organic search traffic. If I’m curious about overall site traffic, Google Analytics is where I look. Calendar Scheduling with cal.com For scheduling, I use cal.com. I used to use Calendly and loved it, but I eventually asked myself why I was paying a monthly fee when I didn’t need to. cal.com has a very robust free plan, an easy-to-use interface, and does everything I need. If you want a powerful calendar tool without paying $10–$12 a month, this is a great alternative. Video Conferencing with Google Meet I previously used Zoom, but for the same reason, I stopped paying for it. Since I already use Google Workspace, Google Meet fits perfectly into my workflow and works well for all my video conferencing needs. Video Messaging with Loom One tool I do pay for is Loom. It’s excellent for recording short video messages, screen sharing, and walking clients through work I’ve completed. The AI features are helpful, the Chrome extension works smoothly, and the interface is simple. It saves me time when I don’t feel like typing long emails. Podcast Recording & Editing with Descript I record and edit this podcast using Descript. It’s one of the more expensive tools I use, but it’s worth it. It makes podcast editing easy, efficient, and intuitive, and the AI features are very strong. Heatmaps with Microsoft Clarity I recently discovered Microsoft Clarity, which I haven’t fully started using yet. It works like a heatmap tool—similar to Hotjar—but it’s completely free. It allows you to see how visitors interact with your pages, which I’m excited to explore without having to pay for premium heatmap software. SEO Insights with Ahrefs Webmaster Tools If you’re interested in SEO, Ahrefs offers a free Webmaster Tools account. It’s a limited version of their full product, but still incredibly useful. You can see keyword data, backlinks, and estimated traffic. Compared to paid tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush, this free option is a great starting point. You can usually find it via the Ahrefs footer links or by searching “Ahrefs Webmaster Tools.” AI Tools I Use For AI, I primarily use Gemini, which is included with my Google Workspace account. I also use ChatGPT from time to time. For images, I enjoy using Midjourney. While it creates impressive visuals, I’m still learning how to get exactly what I want from it—but it’s fun to experiment with. Final Thoughts Kajabi covers most of my business needs, so I only use a few additional tools to fill in the gaps. I wanted to share these options because many people are just getting started and don’t want to spend ...

  • Kajabi Transaction Fees Explained + Cohort-Based Courses Overview
    Dec 22 2025
Episode 72 Summary In this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes, we review how Kajabi’s third-party transaction fees work, including when they apply and how much each plan is charged if you use Stripe. I also explain why Kajabi Payments or PayPal are often the better choice, especially on the Kickstarter plan. Then, I dive into Kajabi’s new cohort-based courses, highlighting how they allow you to manage multiple groups within one course. I also cover the new calendar-based drip scheduling feature, which makes planning live and group programmes much easier. I’ve got some things that may help you with Kajabi: Kajabi in 5 Minutes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Kajabiin5Minutes Kajabi 30 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/30days-kajabi Kajabi Blog: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/blog Kajabi Code course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/code Kajabi SEO course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/seo These next promotions are only active for a short time throughout the year 3 Months for $99: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/3months-for-99 60 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/60-day-trial 50% off for 12 Months: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/kajabi-half-price Episode Overview Introduction Welcome to Kajabi in 5 Minutes, where we break down Kajabi updates and features in quick, practical episodes. In this episode, we clarify Kajabi’s transaction fees and explore the powerful new cohort-based course feature, including how calendar-based drip scheduling works for group programmes. Third-Party Payment Processing Fees Explained In this episode, I want to clarify two things I’ve mentioned before but didn’t fully explain. One of them involves a change (or possibly a correction) around Kajabi’s pricing and transaction fees. With Kajabi’s newer plans, there are third-party payment processing transaction fees. This applies when you use Stripe as a standalone payment processor, rather than Kajabi Payments. To be clear, this transaction fee is charged by Kajabi, not Stripe, and it is separate from Stripe’s own processing fees. When these plans were first released, I previously said that transaction fees applied if you didn’t use Kajabi Payments. However, that’s not entirely accurate. If you use Kajabi Payments or PayPal, you are not charged these transaction fees. The fee only applies if you are using Stripe. Kajabi Transaction Fees by Plan Here’s how the transaction fees break down if you use Stripe: Kickstarter Plan: 5%Basic Plan: 2%Growth Plan: 1%Pro Plan: 0.5% If you’re on the Kickstarter plan, that 5% fee is significant. In most cases, there’s no real reason to use Stripe instead of Kajabi Payments on this plan. Using Kajabi Payments (or PayPal, if you prefer) helps you avoid this fee altogether. I’m not entirely sure whether Kajabi changed this after launch or if I initially misunderstood the setup, but this is how it works now. Introducing Cohort-Based Courses in Kajabi Now for the more exciting update: cohort-based courses. A cohort-based course is a new type of Kajabi course product that allows you to organise content into folders, with each folder representing a specific group or cohort going through the course at the same time. This is especially powerful if you run live launches or group programmes where everyone starts together, follows the same timeline, and completes the experience as a group. Instead of creating a brand-new course for each launch, you can use one course product and manage multiple cohorts inside it. Why Cohort-Based Courses Are So Powerful Each cohort folder gives you full control over the content for that specific group. You can: Add or remove lessons for one cohort without affecting othersUpload recordings of live sessions directly into that cohortEnsure future cohorts don’t see content from previous groups This makes it incredibly flexible if your programme evolves over time. Calendar-Based Drip Scheduling One feature I didn’t highlight before is how drip scheduling works differently in cohort-based courses. Instead of dripping content based on the number of days since someone enrolled, content is released based on specific calendar dates. This is a game-changer for planning. If holidays, breaks, or schedule changes come up, you don’t need to recalculate drip delays. You simply choose the date you want each module to open. For example, if you want Module 1 to open on 13 July, you set that date—and that’s it. This makes it much easier to map out content releases when you’re guiding a group through a live or semi-live experience. Final Thoughts Cohort-based courses are a powerful enhancement to Kajabi, especially for creators running live group programmes. Combined with calendar-based drip scheduling, they make course delivery far more flexible and organised. Tune in next week for more Kajabi tips and updates.

Today, I'm going to be talking about the Pro plan in Kajabi. The Pro plan is a powerful package priced at $400 a month. If you choose the annual payment option, you get a 20% discount, which brings the cost down to $319 per month. This plan is designed for large businesses with up to 100,000 contacts. If you have a huge email list and many customers, this plan could be a good fit despite the cost. Pricing and Discounts The Pro plan costs $400 monthly, but opting for annual billing reduces this by 20%, effectively bringing it down to $319 per month. This pricing is suitable for businesses with large email lists, as higher costs can be justified by the volume of customers and sales you manage through Kajabi. Kajabi Pro Plan Overview In the Pro plan, besides the contact limit of 100,000, you get unlimited products — a big upgrade from the previous 100-product limit and the Growth plan’s 50-product cap. This means you'll have almost unlimited selling options. You also get three communities with unlimited access groups, corresponding to the three websites Kajabi allows with this plan. This setup is ideal if you're running multiple websites or businesses all from one account. The Pro plan supports up to three businesses at once, making it a great value if you manage multiple ventures. Key Features and Benefits of Kajabi Pro Plan A dedicated success manager is included, providing personalized support. The plan also grants API access, enabling advanced integrations and automation. Additionally, the branded mobile app, worth $199 per month as an add-on, is included free of charge. This feature enhances user engagement through a native mobile experience. You also receive all Growth plan features like cohort courses, a universal inbox, and Comment to DM functionality. The code editor allows for deep customization if you have development skills on your team. A new addition is video transcription and translation capabilities, making your content accessible to a broader, multilingual audience. Conclusion The Pro plan is essentially like having three Kajabi accounts in one, plus premium extras like the branded app, API access, video transcription and translation, and the code editor—all for $499 a month. While it may seem expensive, for businesses that need all these features, it’s a competitive and valuable option. • Kajabi Evolved Growth Plan: Features and Price Changes
    Dec 8 2025

Unlimited access groups and a standard community are included, offering more flexibility. We learn how to upgrade and the best affiliate support for new users . Today’s focus is on the new Growth plan, part of a big update Kajabi made to all their plans and features in September 2025. This update is significant, especially for the Growth plan. Price Increase The most noticeable change is the price increase by about $40. The new monthly price is $249, with a 20% discount for annual payments, making it effectively $199 per month. This is the first price increase Kajabi has made since they started, reflecting many improvements along with some limits being rearranged. Increased Product Limits The biggest limit increase in the Growth plan is for products, rising from 15 to 50. This increase is fantastic for creators wanting to build extensive course and coaching offers, including private podcasts as part of memberships. This gives plenty of room to experiment and expand. Community and Access Groups in Kajabi Growth Plan Another major change, which applies across all Kajabi plans, is that a community is now standard and does not count as one of your products. Plus, unlimited access groups are included. This change benefits users who want tiered content and access, as previously they had to use multiple products solely for the community. This update creates many new possibilities for all Kajabi users. New Features: Cohort Courses, Comment to DM, and Universal Inbox The Growth plan now includes exciting features like cohort courses, Comment to DM, and the Universal Inbox. These tools are designed to make it easier for creators to engage with their audience and manage interactions. The Universal Inbox integrates Facebook and Instagram comments into Kajabi, while Comment to DM allows automations to message users directly based on comments, simplifying engagement. Cohort courses are ideal for group-based programs where the same course serves different groups with their own areas and content. This allows coaches to keep session recordings and content separate for each cohort easily. Recommendation to Upgrade Unlike the Basic plan, the Growth plan’s new version is a clear upgrade from the legacy plan, with all features improved. Despite the $40 price increase, upgrading is beneficial. Users can upgrade via Settings > Billing, where a side-by-side comparison helps choose plans, and billing is prorated immediately. Conclusion and Trial Offer The new Growth plan is an excellent option, providing up to 50 products, unlimited access groups, cohort courses, and enhanced engagement tools. It offers lots of opportunities to grow your business. For a 30-day free trial, visit thecoachsupport.com, where additional affiliate support is available to help flatten the Kajabi learning curve and enhance your experience. • Kajabi Evolved Basic Plan 2026 Update: Key Changes Explained
    Dec 1 2025
Episode 69 Summary In this episode of Kajabi in 5 Minutes, we review the new Kajabi Evolved Basic plan which reduces the contact limit from 10,000 to 2,500 but increases the product allowance from three to five. It includes unlimited community access groups, a better customer app, and retains essential features like unlimited landing pages, funnels, and marketing emails. Legacy users keep their current features but will face a price increase from January 13th, 2026. The plan emphasizes product flexibility over list growth, offering good value for established businesses with moderate contact lists. I’ve got some things that may help you with Kajabi: Kajabi in 5 Minutes YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Kajabiin5Minutes Kajabi 30 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/30days-kajabi Kajabi Blog: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/blog Kajabi Code course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/code Kajabi SEO course: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/seo These next promotions are only active for a short time throughout the year 3 Months for $99: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/3months-for-99 60 Day Free Trial: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/60-day-trial 50% off for 12 Months: https://www.thecoachsupport.com/kajabi-half-price Episode Overview Introduction to the new Kajabi Evolved Basic Plan Kajabi has launched a new Evolved Basic plan with significant changes. The most notable adjustment is the reduction in allowed contacts from 10,000 in the old Basic plan to 2,500 in the new version. This change impacts users with larger contact lists, who must decide whether to pay an additional $100 to upgrade to the Growth plan or stay on their Legacy Basic plan with a price increase. Starting January 13th, 2026, even Legacy users will face a $30 price increase, making the new Basic plan cost $179 per month. Enhanced Product and Community Features in Kajabi Basic Plan The new Basic plan increases the product limit from three to five, giving users more flexibility. Additionally, the community feature is now standard across all plans with unlimited access groups and no longer counts against the product limit. Previously, the community counted as a product, but now it is a separate feature which adds significant value for Basic plan users. Focus on Customer Engagement Kajabi's new structure emphasizes customer and audience engagement. By making communities and unlimited access groups standard, the platform encourages interactive user experiences. The increased product allowance allows for more diverse offerings, such as adding private podcasts alongside courses or coaching programs. This flexibility benefits creators who deliver diverse content formats, including audio and video lessons. Improved Customer Mobile App All plans, including Basic, received an improved Kajabi app for customers. This app enables users to access communities, coaching, podcasts, and courses all in one place. The upgraded app experience enhances customer interaction and convenience, benefiting both creators and their audiences. Key Features Summary for the Kajabi Basic Plan 2,500 contacts limitFive products allowedCommunity with unlimited access groups (does not count as product)Unlimited landing pages and funnelsMarketing emails and custom domain includedKajabi support and AI-powered creator studio featuresIdeal for businesses with established contact lists over 250 people but below 2,500 Flexibility with A La Carte Options Kajabi introduced an A La Carte feature allowing users to purchase additional quota limits for specific areas, such as website limits. While it’s unclear if contact limits can be increased this way, users can explore paying extra only for what they need without upgrading the entire plan. This offers a helpful middle ground for businesses with fluctuating needs. Considerations for Legacy Users Legacy Basic plan users with contact lists above 2,500 have a choice: remain on the Legacy plan but pay $30 more monthly starting January 13, 2026, or upgrade to the Growth plan for additional contacts. Staying Legacy means keeping the current limits but at a higher cost. This change represents a shift from prioritizing list growth to focusing on product creation and diversification within the new Basic plan. Conclusion The new Kajabi Evolved Basic plan represents a strategic shift that balances product flexibility with a more modest contact limit, making it a solid choice for businesses focused on expanding their offerings rather than aggressively growing their lists. While legacy users face some cost increases, the enhanced community features and improved app experience add significant value. Overall, this plan suits entrepreneurs and creators seeking to deepen engagement with their audience through diverse products and community interaction, while still maintaining essential marketing and support features. The upcoming discussion on the Growth plan will help those aiming for larger-scale expansion...

Today, I'm going to be talking about Kajabi's new evolved Kickstarter plan. The Kickstarter plan is a great option if you are new to Kajabi or just starting your business online, or even if you are simply bringing an aspect of your business online. The Kickstarter plan could really be the answer for you. Pricing and Key Updates The pricing remains the same at $89 a month or the equivalent of $71 a month if you pay annually. The main change is that you now get unlimited marketing emails and unlimited access groups in your community. Other than that, the plan has stayed the same. Kajabi's other plans changed quite a bit, but the Kickstarter plan was already really good to begin with. Features of the Kickstarter Plan Kajabi introduced the Kickstarter plan earlier this year. It aligns well with Kajabi's strategic realignment focusing on serving the creator industry better. With the Kickstarter plan, you get one product and the community as a product, plus unlimited access groups. You also get unlimited emails, unlimited landing pages, unlimited funnels, Kajabi support, and all the training material via Kajabi University. Additionally, the plan includes Kajabi AI features, the Creator Studio, and access to add-ons like Common Ninja widgets and chatbots. However, you're limited to 250 people on your email list. Limitations and Purpose The key limitation is the 250-contact email list size, which is not very large. But this is suitable when you're just starting, growing your list, and working towards making initial sales and establishing your presence online. This low-priced plan is great for beginners. You can even start with a 30-day free trial on the Kickstarter plan without needing to choose Basic, Growth, or Pro plans. Pricing Changes in Kajabi Now your pricing is going to change. And so if you don't want to take advantage of the new stuff, and you might be thinking, why would I not want to? And there is a reason that you may not want to, and I'll get to that. But, if you don't want to, you don't have to opt into a new plan. You can keep your Legacy plan. And what I mean by that is all of this stuff in it. Kajabi Basic Plan Changes So if you're a Basic user, you've got three products, you've got 10,000 contacts, blah, blah, blah. That's your plan. That's what you keep. And on January 13th, I believe, 2026, you will, even though you're a Legacy plan user, pay the new plan prices. And so, let's just talk about the pricing changes. If you're in a Kickstarter plan, the prices are staying the same. It's still $89 a month, or 71 a month if you're paying annually. The Basic plan went up about $30. So instead of it being 149 a month, it's now 179 a month. You still get your 20% annual discount through all the plans that didn't change. Kajabi Growth Plan Changes If you're a Growth plan user, your price is going to go up about $40. Instead of it being 199, it's now 249. Kajabi Pro Plan Changes And if you're a pro user, the price goes up a hundred bucks, from 399 to 499. And those are the price jumps. If you want really specific details about this, you can go to Kajabi's page, kajabi.com/pricing, or you can go to my blog post about this. I just updated my blog post, thecoachsupport.com/blog. You can see it's the top article there, "Kajabi Pricing." I go into a lot of details about what's different, what the plans are, and the price and all of that, so you can check that out if you're interested. I'll put a link to my blog article and Kajabi's pricing page in the show notes. Conclusion Kajabi has introduced significant updates with Kajabi Evolved, bringing new features, pricing adjustments, and plan changes that impact both new and Legacy users. This evolution offers enhanced flexibility but also means price increases across various tiers, particularly affecting those on the Basic plan with larger contact lists. Legacy users have the option to upgrade to new plans or maintain their current ones while facing updated pricing from January 2026. It’s important to evaluate your usage and needs carefully to choose the best fit, especially with options for a la carte upgrades available. Stay tuned for more detailed breakdowns of each plan in upcoming episodes and consult the available online resources for further guidance.
