I lost my last two remaining grandparents during the early days of COVID. When my dad's dad died, we drove out to Pennsylvania where he had been staying in his last days with my dad's twin's family. This was recorded in their kitchen with my cousins & uncle & immediate family & my uncle's new wife (his first wife, my cousins' mother died in her sleep when I was in middle school) after the funeral ceremony at the cemetery. Some soldiers shot guns at the funeral because he was in the navy, but also even if he wasn't someone would've found a way to shoot off some guns that weekend anyway because it's rural Pennsylvania.
