Lord God My Rock, My Deliverer

A prayer of faith, strength, and deliverance: when the waves rise and fear surrounds us, we can call upon the LORD. He is our rock, our refuge, and our salvation—and He hears our cry.

[2 Samuel 22]

Isaiah 30 reminds us that human strength cannot replace the power of God. Judah trusted in Egypt, pursued earthly protection, and rejected the LORD’s counsel—but God called His people back to repentance, rest, quietness, and confidence.

When we return to the LORD and wait upon Him, He gives us direction, healing, protection, and strength.

“In returning and rest shall ye be saued; in quietnesse and in confidence shall be your strength.” — Isaiah 30:15, 1611 KJV

Do not run to fear. Do not depend on human power. Return to the LORD, trust His Word, and walk in the way He has shown you.

The LORD is our refuge, our guide, and our salvation.

Jesus Christ is our perfect example of righteousness, holiness, love, mercy, truth, obedience, and faithfulness. As we abide in Him and yield to the Holy Ghost, His character begins to shine through our lives.

Shall we walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance—bearing fruit that glorifies God and points others to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Established on Christ. Led by the Spirit. Bearing fruit in righteousness.

No wound is too deep, no sickness is too great, and no life is beyond the restoring power of Jesus Christ.

God is still healing bodies, restoring hearts, and renewing souls. Trust His power and stand on His Word.

When your body is weak, your heart is broken, or your soul is weary, remember that God is still the Healer. He restores what is wounded, strengthens what is weak, forgives what is broken, and brings peace to troubled hearts.

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

Pray with faith, stand upon God’s Word, and trust Jesus Christ—the One who heals, restores, and makes whole.

“I am the LORD that healeth thee.” — Exodus 15:26

Throughout the KJV Holy Bible, oil represents God’s anointing, consecration, healing, refreshment, joy, and preparation for service. Kings and priests were anointed, the sick were prayed over and anointed with oil, and oil was used as a picture of God’s blessing and the presence of the Holy Ghost.

“Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” — Psalm 23:5

May we seek the Lord—not merely the symbol—and allow Him to dedicate our lives, strengthen our faith, heal our hearts, and prepare us for His purpose.

Water throughout the KJV Holy Bible represents life, cleansing, renewal, baptism, the Holy Spirit, and God’s everlasting provision. Just as our bodies need water to live, our souls need Jesus Christ, the Living Water. When we are spiritually thirsty, He refreshes, restores, and gives us eternal life.

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.” — John 4:14

May we continually seek the Lord, allow His Word to cleanse us, and let His living water flow through our lives.
