  • 51: Will Floor – Truth, Limits, and Documentary
    Feb 2 2026

Episode 51 with Will Floor. A conversation on documentary filmmaking, creativity, nature, and meaning. Will and I met in film school at Portland State, where we made multiple short films and were both drawn to documentary as a more honest way to engage reality. We discuss limitation, imperfection, responsibility, the ocean, and Will’s current short film following an ocean photographer, alongside questions of God, purpose, and creating in a digital world.

  • 50: AC Delgado – God, Sweat, and Craft
    Jan 21 2026

    Episode 50.

A conversation with AC Delgado on discipline, doubt, creativity, and action.

Abe and I are the same age, born in 1993, and came up through similar creative paths in different ways. He went through the CSI Digital Media program before me, while I was serving in the Marine Corps. Different timelines, similar minds. That shared foundation shaped this conversation.

We talk about creativity not as inspiration, but as responsibility. About God and doubt without certainty. About purpose not as something you find, but something you earn through work.

Abe shares how wrestling shaped his discipline as an artist, and how a near-fatal car crash became a wake-up call to stop letting his work sit unfinished. We discuss why so many artists struggle and why disciplined backgrounds often translate so well into creative fields.

The conversation expands into the modern world: AI, politics, global uncertainty, and the feeling that everything is accelerating. We return again and again to a simple idea:

Action is the answer. The sweat is the point.

  • 49: Ismenia Gallegos-Sutton - BJJ, Faith, and Food
    Nov 7 2025

In this episode, I sat down with a friend from my hometown Buhl, Idaho. She has evolved into an awesome woman who has invested time into both her family restaurant Antojos located in Twin Falls, ID while also developing a skillset in Brazilian Jui Jitsu. After seeing her at my private movie premiere for Cheer Dreams, I just had to invite her onto the podcast! In this podcast we start off talking martial arts but slowly merge into spiritual/religious territory (a blast of a topic!). Then we also get into morality and origin stories! • 48 - Brian Dobbs: Fatherhood, Philosophy, & Books
    Jul 24 2025

In this episode, I sit down with Brian Dobbs, my former Honors Program professor at the College of Southern Idaho. I've always admired Mr. Dobbs for his emotional intelligence and broad wisdom, and for a while now, I’ve been wanting to pick his brain on the podcast. Funny enough, the universe kept nudging us together. I’d be out on my jogs, and he’d be on his walks, and we’d end up in these thriving conversations. Here we dive into philosophy, art, purpose, and the generational forces shaping how we see the world. We also get into the deeper stuff, like fatherhood and our thoughts on purpose, with a few doses of science and some great book recs sprinkled in.I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

  • 47: Nick Arevalo - Art & Death
    Jun 1 2025

Jason Turner Podcast #47: Art and DeathMy friend Nick was a fellow alumni from the College of Southern Idaho's Digital Media Program. Back when I was attending CSI, I would hit up Nick and we collaborated on some fun passion photoshoots. I hadn't seen him in years, but after seeing a post he made in regard to the death of his brother, I felt inspired and compelled to reach out and reconnect. His perseverance and strength has inspired me and I hope we were able to tap into a little inspiration for you too.

    Rest in Peace Gabe Arevalo!https://www.instagram.com/nickarevalodesignhttps://www.instagram.com/jasonturnervideo

My brothers from the Marine Corps have come to visit. It is kind of our last ooh-rah before the birth of my son. The Marine Corps was founded in a Tavern, so drinking is tradition. Enjoy the party! Oh, and of course my little brother, Isaiah Turner, joins the brotherhood festivity!https://www.instagram.com/terry_robert_mhttps://www.instagram.com/jojochapmannhttps://www.instagram.com/isaiah._turnerrhttps://www.instagram.com/jasonturnervideo
