We learned Chrisitine Staten's Origin Story last week on Season 2 Episode 11 (part 1). Now we dive into her professional career from Associate to Practice Owner to Business Cheerleader. I hope you have all listened to Part 1, but if not, make sure you do.

Sara and I had such a great time learning from Christine, and I think you will too.

What a fun episode? Chrisitine Staten, DVM, MBA is probably not a stranger to many, but have you heard her "Origin Story"? Did you know that Veterinary Medicine wasn't on her short list of career choices well into her undergrad studies? That's just a teaser. We won't tell you more. You have to listen.

Sara is also back after a couple episodes off so we get to catch up a little with her as will.

Another spoiler, the Christine content is being split into two episodes. It was just too much to cram into one.

If you haven't listened to S2 : E9 yet, go back and do that first. That's part 1 to this part 2. In this episode we get into a bit more detail about FIP, before we detour around prior to landing on a conversation about customer service and where we think it's going in the future.

Enjoy getting to know Bianca Plowman and Hunter Spielvogel a little more. Hopefully you'll also be educated during this episode along the way.

In this episode, Gary has a conversation with Sara's classmates; Bianca Plowman and Hunter Spielvogel. Unfortunately Sara was unable to join the conversation.

This is a bit of a continuation of our Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine Diagnostic Challenge conversation, but this is a Post-DC talk instead of a Pre-DC talk.

Spoiler alert! the case we had the challenge involves Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).

If you didn't listen to Season 1 Episode 22, you missed out on a great episode. But fortunately we are posting it again here. Besides, it's also Gary's birthday today and he wants to take the week off from editing new content.

If you're a true crime fan, especially if you want to learn a bit of veterinary related crime history, please listen to this episode. This story is truly shocking!Warning: Don't listen if you're triggered by stories of murder. Maybe don't listen while you're in a taxi or a ride share or if you've just gotten into a car with a random stranger. Maybe just don't hitchhike and get into cars with random stranger's anyway.
Otherwise, wait until all the trick-or-treaters are done for the night, turn out the lights, light some candles, and curl up on the couch and listen to this very true, very much crime related story about an inventor of a very common companion animal surgical instrument (that you will never forget the name of after this).

Sara and Gary get together for a chat after a 5 week gap between recordings. This episode gets everyone caught up with Sara's academic schedule. Basically lots of tests! They go into detail about Sara's recent Diagnostic Challenge week.

Diagnostic Challenge may be unique in name for Washington State University and Utah State University's second year curriculum, but it most likely exists in some fashion at other vet schools. Learn about this week long communication skills intensive program by listening to this episode.
