A proposito di questo titolo

This podcast is our interpretation of sports. Not football, tennis, or basketball: all sports.

Through interviews, excursions, and events, we will show the significance of sport, and how we can use it for good. We’ll shed light on the sports we love, and the ones we have yet to discover. This podcast is intended for all, listen as we show you that sports is too.

Season 1: Communities. There are leaders in our world who have furthered, fostered, or found communities through the power of sport. Listen as we invite them to our studio in North London, and hear what they have to guide and inspire us.

  • #03. Alexander Webb, Program Director at KLABU
    Sep 19 2023

0ver 110 million people are currently living in refugee camps, spending an average of 17 years there. KLABU are an organization that are using sport to and instigate positive change.

KLABU are one part NGO and one part clothing brand, as their funky shirts are used to generate an income for their wider charitable work to remain possible.

Based in Amsterdam, they have set up ’clubhouses’ in some of the world’s largest refugee camps, bringing comfort, electricity, education, and community to their inhabitants. Their USP is sport, and their belief that sport can provide people with the catalyst to improve their wider situation.

We invited Alexander Webb, KLABU's Program Director to our studio to tell us all about it. He was a friend of Arne’s at university, and has gone on to do amazing things with this fantastic organization.

We hope that you enjoy our third episode!
