    If you've been with us the last three weeks, you've done some great inner work.

    1. You've gotten clear on your God-given identity
    2. You've looked yourself in the mirror and discovered who you have been shaped into over the years
    3. You've allowed yourself to explore your biggest dreams and deepest desires

    Now, it's time to get clear on what we're actually chasing this year.

    This week, we're identifying the things that matter the most to us as we walk through 2026. We'll take our wild and crazy dreams and we'll sort them into three categories: Personal, Professional and Passion.

    Once we divide up our ambitions, we will select just one goal from each category. It might be one that jumps off the page at us or it could be one that sums up what we're looking to accomplish collectively in that category.

    This process of organization and elimination will help us cut through the fluff of resolutions.

    From here we will know that the goals we're pursuing this year are:

    • in alignment with who we are at our core
    • are actually meaningful to us and not just what we think we should be doing
    • are moving us closer to the person we want to be and the things we want to accomplish

    If you have set resolutions for 2026, let me ask you something. Did you set resolutions for yourself? Or is it possible that you set resolutions that maybe sounded good because other people around you were setting them.

    If I was a betting woman, I'd be willing to throw money on the fact that you did not wake up a brand new person on Jan. 1 of this year. In fact, you probably didn't wake up as the person you used to be either.

    No, you woke up as the same person that you were on Dec. 31.

    When your eyes opened, you were the same old you with the same old habits carrying the same old baggage and using the same old excuses. It's not a dig at you... it's just a fact. And it's the same for all of us.

    See, as much as we want to start the new year off being all shiny, perfect and new, the truth is you didn't change overnight. The sooner we can accept that and meet ourselves where we're at, the sooner we can start crushing those goals.

    Similar to last week when we talked about really getting to know who we are at our core, understanding the person you've become is crucial to setting yourself up for success in achieving your resolutions.

    In this episode we'll talk about why we have become the people we see in in the mirror these days and how that affects our ability to keep our promises to ourselves. We'll also chat about how getting under the hood is one of the best things we can do for ourselves in the new year. And the sooner we do it, the more successful we'll be.
