A proposito di questo titolo
This is a very special Thanksgiving Gratitude Release Episode. Inge Sengelmann is the founder of Embody Your Life, where she teaches and works with clients as a mind-body healer and resilience educator. Inge is a licensed clinical social worker with post graduate level training in a variety of treatment approaches including Somatic Experiencing SE, by the world renowned trauma expert Dr. Peter Levine. In this episode, we discuss the mind, body, and spirit approach in healing the effects of trauma and simply engaging with the present moment. Inge is incredibly knowledgeable on this subject, assists faculty at the Somatic Experiencing Institute, and teaches lectures/workshops. She is also the author of The GOD (d) Method, a book on grounding and orienting strategies for mindfulness and stress management. We chat about safe and sane approaches to treating energy the body carries. There is no need for the nervous system to be flooded and overwhelmed as suggested by some practices. Inge demystifies bodily releases and points us towards illuminating the inner teacher that resides within all. This episode is a a golden nugget for fans of Dr. Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing as well as Dr. Stephen Porges' polyvagal theory. Eternally grateful to my wise and trusted friend.
