  • Original OG | Knicks One Win Away After Greatest Finals Comeback Ever
    Jun 12 2026

Episode 40 of In My Defense is titled "Original OG," and the New York Knicks are now one win away from ending 53 years of pain.

Canty & Que react to one of the wildest games in NBA Finals history: the Knicks erase a 29-point deficit, survive a record-setting Spurs shooting night, and stun San Antonio 107-106 behind OG Anunoby's unforgettable tip-in with 1.2 seconds left.

OG finished with 33 points, a massive chase-down block on De'Aaron Fox, and the game-winning putback. Jalen Brunson added 36, while Victor Wembanyama's 24 and 13 weren't enough as the Knicks took a 3-1 series lead.

    The guys break down:

    • OG Anunoby's legacy moment

    • Jalen Brunson's leadership

    • The Spurs' second-half collapse

    • De'Aaron Fox's late-game mistakes

    • Why San Antonio kept settling for threes

    • What the Spurs must change in Game 5

    • Where this comeback ranks in New York sports history

And we end with 99 Problems with the dumbest plays in sports history, and Wins & Losses of the Week.

  • Shabang: Knicks Finals Bound, Thunder-Spurs Drama & Loyal Fanbases
    May 29 2026

Episode 38 of In My Defense is titled "Shabang," and this week, Canty & Que break down one of the biggest weeks in basketball.

The guys start with the New York Knicks sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-0 to advance to their first NBA Finals since 1999. Was this a case of New York greatness, Cleveland collapse, or a perfect example of team culture beating analytics?

Then they head to the Western Conference Finals, where the Oklahoma City Thunder took a pivotal Game 5 over the San Antonio Spurs. Canty and Que discuss the controversial officiating, SGA's impact, Victor Wembanyama's struggles, and whether OKC is destined for another Finals appearance.

Next, the conversation turns to SGA's place in NBA history. If he wins another championship and MVP, where does he belong among the all-time greats? And is his style of play changing basketball for better or worse?

For 99 Problems, inspired by the Knicks' breakthrough, the guys rank some of the greatest die-hard fanbases that waited decades before finally seeing their team win it all — from Philadelphia to Chicago and beyond.

    Plus, Wins & Losses featuring:

    • James Harden's playoff struggles
    • Donovan Mitchell's disappearing act
    • Josh Hart is becoming a New York folk hero
    • Jalen Brunson's rise from overlooked prospect to Knicks legend
