Keeping it short and sweet for our first episode, your host Ivania dives into the world of the "Cool Girl" trope and explores its impact on feminism and women's mental health. We discuss the societal pressure on women to be effortlessly perfect, cool, and unbothered. We analyze how this trope can limit women's self-expression and force them to conform to unrealistic expectations of beauty, sexuality, and personality. We also examine how the Cool Girl trope perpetuates harmful gender stereotypes and undermines the progress of the feminist movement. Finally, Ivania also touches on how to break free from this toxic cultural phenomenon and begin to embrace authenticity and self-acceptance.
