    Sep 8 2026

Audacy’s 'I’m Listening' initiative continues the conversation on mental health with another edition of our annual broadcast special. In recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10 and National Suicide Prevention Month, all Audacy stations nationwide present the 'I’m Listening' broadcast special, uniting listeners nationwide to support mental health awareness and advocacy.

Stations across the country will feature artists, athletes, and mental health professionals in honest and meaningful conversations about mental health. Audacy’s 'I’m Listening' initiative is a year-round effort to show that talk has the power to save lives, culminating in an annual broadcast that shares personal stories, resources, and a safe space for the audience to connect and know they are not alone.

Carson Daly from the 'TODAY' show and 'The Voice' returns to host alongside Audacy Country’s 'Katie & Company' host, Katie Neal. They are again joined by psychologist, scientist, philanthropist and founder of The AAKOMA Project, Dr. Alfiee M. Breland-Noble, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Christine Yu Moutier. Throughout the special we also hear from artists including Kelly Clarkson, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Shinedown, Tate McRae, The Smashing Pumpkins, and more.

Since its launch, Audacy’s 'I’m Listening' initiative has helped broaden the national conversation around mental health while raising more than $2 million in support of national and local organizations.

  • The Warning Continue the Conversation
    Jul 9 2026

During a visit to our Los Angeles studios, sister Rock trio The Warning, took a moment to talk about mental health, the importance of continuing the conversation, and the tools they use for themselves, as part of our ongoing I’m Listening initiative.

The Villarreal Vélez sisters have learned a lot in their young careers, en route to their upcoming fifth studio album, Everything's Falling, set to be released on August 28.

“I think it's important to continue having conversations about mental health because talking is the best thing you can do when you're feeling alone,” they share, “and connecting and removing that stigma of like, you have to keep it to yourself is the most helpful thing we can do as a society for other people.”

“I think our views about mental health have evolved a lot since we started, being a touring band and being away from home and changing our day to day schedules,” Daniela says. “We just have to adapt to a lot of things and mental health and therapy have helped a lot. It's just evolved into seeing it as getting to know yourself a lot better and then getting to know yourself, you know how you work and how you can adapt to the world around you, so honestly I think that's like so beautiful and I hope we can still do it.”

  • Gavin Rossdale and the Connection of Music
    Jun 4 2026

It’s always a spiritual experience talking with Gavin Rossdale of Bush, who joined Marci Wiser backstage at BottleRock Napa last month, talking about the evolution of mental health conversations and the power that music has to connect us all.

“Even though the world is kind of on fire in many ways, there's a sense of people being, getting the permission to open up a bit more,” he shares, “and find that kind of connection. And you know, music is, nothing's better.”

“I always think about, I look at these massive shows and I just imagine all these thousands of lives and all these cars going to these events,” says Gavin. “Then they all come together for music and I think it's such a beautiful thing for the soul. It's really good, really uplifting, and people need that more than ever.”

  • Bebe Rexha on Checking In With Yourself
    Mar 5 2026

Bebe Rexha has always been an artist open about her mental health, discussing her struggles with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. During a recent Audacy Check In, the "I Like You Better Than Me" singer shared some of her own coping tactics and exercises that help her throughout the day.

"I think as a human being it's really important to be able to actually check in with yourself daily throughout the day," she shares with Mike Adam. "We were on set, 2 weeks ago, and we had to shoot 13 music videos in 3 days, and I think by the end of the second day I was kind of hitting a wall, and I felt like I was getting anxious because I wanted to get everything done, but I wanted everything to look good."

"I shut all the lights off in my dressing room and I invited whoever wanted to come. It was like maybe 10 of us, and we were just all laying on the floor and we put some meditation music on just to calm ourselves, and I think it's really important to be in tune with yourself," says Bebe. "If you're feeling anxious or you're feeling a little sad, the best technique for me is to not judge yourself and not trying to try to run away from those feelings. It's like, 'how can I soothe myself?'"

"That's different for everybody. It might be a walk, it might be going to get a cup of coffee, even though it sounds like it might be counterintuitive, but for me, I like a nice cup of coffee, it feels soothing. Something warm, maybe a bath, maybe listening to your favorite song, or even just sitting there and breathing. It's the simple things that really, really work."
