Spurs are heading to Stamford Bridge looking to end one of the most frustrating hoodoos in the club’s history. Can Roberto De Zerbi’s side finally get a result against Chelsea away from home?

Kate Mason is joined by The Athletic’s Dan Kilpatrick and Seb Stafford-Bloor to look back at the win over Coventry, including the emotional return of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison’s first start in many months and what the three points could mean for Spurs’ confidence.

We then preview Saturday’s trip to Chelsea. How should De Zerbi set up his midfield, who starts in the number 10 role, and what can Spurs do to contain Chelsea’s dangerous front three? Plus, Dan looks back on his years covering Spurs and the memories, good and bad, of trips to Stamford Bridge. Why has it been so difficult for Tottenham to win there, and could this finally be the year they break the curse?

The View from the Lane is The Athletic's dedicated Tottenham Hotspur show bringing you the very best coverage from behind the scenes at Spurs. Twice a week, hosts Danny Kelly and Kate Mason are joined by Jack Pitt-Brooke, James Maw, Jay Harris and Dan Kilpatrick to bring you expert analysis, news and insights.
