In this minisode, Amy breaks down the 2026 Netflix documentary A Toxic Love Story, which follows the bizarre Anaheim case of Michelle Hadley, her ex-fiancé Ian Diaz, and his new wife, Angela. When a series of “Lilithistruth” emails and a disturbing Craigslist ad surfaced in 2016, police were quick to blame the angry ex. Michelle spent 88 days in jail for a crime she did not commit, and that was only the first twist. What followed involved faked illnesses, a fake pregnancy, a federal investigation, and the man nobody wanted to look at.

Ames walks through both twists, where everyone is now, and whether the documentary is worth your ninety minutes, along with a hard look at how often survivors of abuse are disbelieved, and even arrested, while the person with the badge is taken at his word.
