The licked grocery bag sealed the clue that toppled his alibi
In this episode, we follow the slow unspooling of ordinary details that became evidence: a missing windowsill figurine, access logs, a fuel receipt and a deleted text. How did a grocery-bag fold and a morning ritual push an investigation toward one man?
Person: Denise Whitaker
Person: Pam Whitaker
Person: Alan Callahan
Date: July 11 (night) and July (morning), 2027
Location: Millpond Terrace
- A small ceramic figure sat on Denise’s windowsill, then vanished between two photographs taken forty minutes apart.
- Pam received that same figure three years later in the mail, wrapped in a grocery bag sealed with someone’s lick.
- Access logs place Alan Callahan’s van in the Millpond Terrace parking lot at 11:47 p.m, with no work order to explain it.
- A fuel receipt records him on County Road Nine at 1:14 a.m., a route near where Denise’s body would later be found.
- A deleted text to or from a contact named Sandra Ochoa removed a potential explanation for why Callahan would have authorized entry that night.
