Everybody's got something to say about James Talarico needing to EARN the Black vote. Fair question. But does that same standard apply to Jasmine Crockett and State Rep. Venton Jones? Because apparently, Chris Brown gets congressional recognition, while the pastors, activists, educators, and nonprofits doing the work in Crockett's own district aren't getting the same spotlight! We're talking about an artist with a documented domestic violence conviction and a history of controversy over lyrics criticized for perpetuating colorism. And THIS is who we're celebrating as Black joy? Meanwhile, Jones has apologized, and the debate over political accountability continues. In this edition of AND ANOTHER THING…, Desimber Rose asks: Who gets to represent Black excellence? Who gets the flowers? Who's entitled to Black Support? And if Black voters' trust must be earned, shouldn't every elected official be held to the same standard?
