Why do girls drop out of sport and what can we do to keep them playing?
Dr. Orlagh Farmer knows this question better than most. She's a six-time All-Ireland winner with Cork, a PE teacher, a lecturer, and the researcher behind the Gaelic4Girls programme. Her PhD looked at why girls leave sport and what clubs, coaches, and parents can do to change that.
Orlagh sits down with Stephen to talk about the real barriers: lack of fun, too much pressure, body image, puberty, social media, and the powerful influence of friends. But she also brings solutions that any club can make. This is a conversation about belonging, confidence, and the life skills that sport gives us. It's for coaches, parents, teachers, and anyone who cares about keeping girls in the game. This one's for the girls.
