I used to be a baby photographer. I was there for the sacred, the very first photo a family ever took of their child. Then one situation at a hospital pushed me out, and I told myself a call center job was temporary. That was seven years ago. In today's entry, I trace how survival work becomes your whole identity when you are not paying attention, and how shame quietly erases the best of who you are.
Today's inscription: What have you erased from your story because you were too embarrassed by where you are now? What gift have you buried simply because you were too tired to let it breathe?
