In January 2026, Issiah Ross stood trial for the September 2022 killings of 18-year-old Devin Clark and 14-year-old Lyric Woods — two teenagers found dead on a secluded service road in Mebane, North Carolina. The state says Ross lured them there under the guise of a sexual encounter, then shot them both and fled to Delaware. The defense tells a different story: that Devin shot Lyric first, turned the gun on Ross, and Ross fired back in self-defense. This week, Christie takes the lead as she walks us through the trial, and she and Maryn dig into the evidence to figure out what really happened that night.
