I recognized the challenges in addressing women directly from the pulpit, where praise might feel like flattery and critique could seem overly simplistic. However, by exploring the timeless stories of women from scripture, I found a unique opportunity to celebrate their virtues and address their shortcomings. This approach allowed me to engage freely, leaving the personal application to the discretion of my audience. I initially delivered these lectures on Sabbath evenings from brief notes, later expanding them into more comprehensive writings while the topics were still fresh in my mind.
