Welcome to the first episode of When Movies Met Movies, where we discuss the upcoming films of 2026 as well as Tintin and War Horse to ease us into the format. We start off the episode with a moment of remembrance to the late and great Rob Reiner (2:00). Regarding current news, we discuss two recently released trailers, Disclosure Day (4:30) and Madden (10:55) as well as the movies we are looking forward to in 2026 (17:15). Then, we proceed to discuss Paramount's false commitment to theatrical releases in 2026 (40:15) and the future of the MCU with speculation on Monkey Paw's potential project (44:04) and the trailers for Avengers: Doomsday (47:55). After briefly discussing the news of Christmas 2011 (51:45) we get into the main meat of the episode with a discussion of The Adventures of Tintin (54:28) and War Horse (1:16:18).
