We are nearly 8 billion people on planet Earth and populations keep growing in the face of a climate crisis for humankind, that can jeopardise its existence. Despite some pandemic effects, our lives still evolve in and around cities, that are expanding in size and people density at an increasing velocity, causing harmful air pollution, a lot of stress and bringing mind-blowing challenges with regards to the sustainability of the environment. So how do we build better cities? How do we bring in green solutions? The best person I could talk to was Philipp Rode from the London School of Economics, an expert in sustainable urbanism. Listen in, and discover some hidden truths and uncomfortable challenges, that we will all need to overcome in order to lead better lives and also to provide a better legacy for future generations.
