Starting with the pros and cons of the King James Bible (KJV) he points out the often overlooked fact that current KJV Bible has undergone over a dozen revisions, most of which have made it decidedly Protestant leaning in its theology. Martin goes on to discuss the Contemporary English Bible (CEV), New Revised Standard Verson, updated edition (NRSVue), English Standard Version (ESV), Good News Bible (GN), New Jerusalem Bible (HJB), The Living Bible (TLB), the currently popular version The Message (MSG), New American Standard Bible (NASB), the also popular New Internation Version (NIV) which is a very slanted Protestant translation, New King James Version (NKJV), the often overlooked Names of God Bible (NOG) which Martin gives a high recommendation, and others.
