This week on Hot Chai Pod, we’re getting into the backlash over Katrina Kaif’s postpartum appearance and why the internet’s obsession with women’s bodies has gotten completely out of hand. We also talk about the difference between normal body changes, styling and years of speculation around cosmetic procedures — conversations that are too often thrown together as if they’re the same thing. Then things get a LOT spicier with my review of Lust Stories 3, Netflix’s new anthology starring Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Ali Fazal, Radhika Madan and Gurfateh Pirzada. Four stories from Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj explore sex, desire, marriage and complicated relationships — and three of the four completely had me.Next: Dhurandhar and the Oscars. The Ranveer Singh blockbuster received only four votes from the 14-member selection jury, while Marathi film Gondhal was chosen as India’s official entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2027 Academy Awards. Was Dhurandhar really an Oscar movie — and why do we still look to Western awards for validation of Indian cinema? And finally, we end on a happy note: Ranveer Singh’s recent Ganpati appearances have been giving full superstar energy — and Ranveer and Deepika Padukone have now welcomed their second baby girl! Dua is officially a big sister. ❤️
