  • You and your co-parent have different parenting styles: how to keep from clashing?
    Mar 12 2025

Are you a FAFO parent? Scott asked Lili this question after reading an article about the popular new lifestyle trend. It means Fuck Around and Find Out, and our hosts debate that style vs authoritative or gentle parenting while trying to figure out what describes them, and what describes their co-parent. They also dig into how to manage a co-parent with a different style, now that they are no longer in the same house to balance each other out. Plus, we hear about the sex talk Scott's dad gave him when he was a kid, which pretty much scarred him for life. Fun!

  • How To Survive Losing Your Job When You're A Single Parent
    Mar 4 2025

Both Lili and Scott have at one point lost their jobs, and though it is awful for anyone, it's especially traumatic when you are a single parent. They share how it felt, how they handled it, and how they eventually came out the other side.

As thousands of people are suddenly deprived of their livelihoods through no fault of their own, this seems like an apt time to acknowledge that this is a traumatic life event, that it's terrifying and exhausting, that it upends your life in practically every way, and that its ok to be overwhelmed and scared. If you need help, please reach out to your community, your friends and family, and your wider network. People are ready to help you; you are NOT alone.
