We trace how responsibility can quietly turn into entitlement when we forget who entrusted it to us. We hear Jesus’ warning about the steward who acts like an owner and we measure our own leadership by service, humility, and care for others.
• responsibility starting as a privilege then becoming a temptation
• the Gospel parable of the steward with real authority but not ownership
• “Much will be required” as a standard of accountability
• Jesus washing feet as the model of servant leadership
• authority showing up in ordinary life through parenting teaching and work
• St Paul in Ephesians receiving a mission with humility
• gifts and roles as trusts meant for the good of others
• an honest self-check about whether we serve others or ourselves
