• Before You Die, Put Your House in Order | Fr. Daniel Klimek
    Jul 18 2026

Homily for July 17th, 2026 | Fr. Daniel Klimek reflects on memento mori; the ancient spiritual practice of remembering that one day we will die. Death is inevitable, but contemplating it is not intended to fill us with despair. Instead, it awakens us to the importance of living every day with God and preparing our hearts for eternity.
Our actions, choices, and daily decisions have eternal consequences. Fr. Daniel encourages us to put our spiritual house in order, turn away from sin, and contemplate the realities of Heaven and hell. God may draw us toward repentance through a deep love that desires to please Him or through a holy fear of being eternally separated from Him. Both remind us of what God desires to save us from and the eternal life He desires to give us.

  • Take My Yoke: The Secret to a Life Without Crushing Burdens | Fr. Mark Baron, MIC
    Jul 16 2026

On this Memorial of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Fr. Mark Baron, MIC reminds us of Christ's invitation: "Come to Me... Take My yoke upon you." Jesus is not asking us to carry more weight; He is inviting us to let Him carry our burdens with us. The Christian life begins with surrender; not self-reliance.
When we stop trying to carry life alone and place ourselves under the mantle of Our Lady, we discover what Jesus promised: "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." The burden becomes lighter not because the cross disappears, but because Christ carries it with us. His grace perfectly strengthens our weakness.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel invites us to walk the path of perfection; not by our own strength, but by surrendering ourselves completely to Jesus. Under her mantle, we learn that true freedom comes when we entrust everything to the mercy of Christ.

  • St. Bonaventure's Path to Christian Perfection | Fr. Tyler Menzer,MIC
    Jul 15 2026

In today's homily, Fr. Tyler Mentzer, MIC, explores the timeless wisdom of St. Bonaventure, who teaches that Christian perfection comes not through knowledge alone, but through the burning love of Jesus Christ. Discover the Franciscan path of prayer, humility, grace, and total union with God.
Fr. Tyler Mentzer reminds us that holiness is not reserved for theologians or mystics. Every Christian is invited to this same journey. The path to perfection is simple, though demanding: reject sin, cultivate humility, live a holy life, pray fervently, meditate on Christ's Passion, and allow God's grace to inflame your heart. As St. Bonaventure teaches, the goal is not merely to know about God, but to become so united with Him that love itself transforms us.

  • The Original American-born Saint | Fr. Chris Alar, MIC
    Jul 15 2026

Today's homily by Fr. Chris Alar reflected on the inspiring life of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint, whose unwavering faith in Christ led her to endure rejection, suffering, and persecution after her baptism. Despite the hardships she faced, her last words, "Jesus, I love You," beautifully expressed a life completely surrendered to God.

Fr. Alar contrasted St. Kateri's courageous witness with the growing indifference toward the Christian faith in today's culture, reminding us not to take the gift of Baptism for granted. He also reflected on historical attacks against Christianity, including the anti-Christian persecution during the French Revolution and the Nazi regime's assault on the dignity of human life through its forced sterilization policies.

  • When Following Jesus Costs You Everything | Fr. Mark Baron, MIC
    Jul 13 2026

What does it really mean to be worthy of being Christ's disciple? In this powerful homily, Fr. Mark Baron, MIC reflects on Jesus' challenging call to put Him above every other love. Following Christ is not about loving our families less, but about loving God first so that every other relationship finds its proper place.

Living according to the Gospel may bring opposition at work, among friends, or even within our own families when we refuse to compromise our Christian values. Yet every sacrifice made for Jesus becomes a cross that leads us closer to Him. Discover how placing Christ at the center of your life transforms the way you love others and gives you the courage to remain faithful in a world that often pulls us in the opposite direction.

  • The Harvest Takes Time: Trust God's Perfect Timing | Fr. Matthew Lamoreaux, MIC
    Jul 12 2026

Homily for July 12th. 2026 | Marian Apostolate in Medjugorje
Fr. Matthew Lamoureux's homily beautifully echoes two of the greatest spiritual messages of our time: trust in Divine Mercy and Our Lady's call in Medjugorje to conversion through prayer and perseverance.
The Gospel reminds us that God is the Sower, but the condition of the soil determines how fruitful His Word becomes. Divine Mercy teaches us that God never gives up on a soul. Even when someone seems far from Him; a child, spouse, friend, priest, or even ourselves, Jesus continues to sow His grace. God's mercy is patient. He waits. He pursues. He never stops calling a soul back to Himself.
This is why Fr. Matthew tells us not to try to "fix" people. Our role is to become fertile soil through prayer, sacrifice, Confession, the Eucharist, and acts of charity. Our prayers become the soil in which God's mercy can take root in the lives of those we love.

  • Are We Emphasizing the Wrong Thing in This Passage? |Fr. Chris Alar,MIC
    Jul 12 2026

Fr. Chris Alar, reflects on the Parable of the Sower by emphasizing that the focus is not only on the seed, the Word of God; but even more on the condition of the soil, which represents our hearts. Good soil is cultivated not only through reading Scripture and prayer, but also through regular Confession, frequent Holy Communion, acts of charity, and a faithful sacramental life. When our hearts are properly formed, the Word of God produces visible fruits of love, holiness, and transformation.

At the same time, Jesus' parable is one of encouragement. We should not become discouraged when we do not immediately see results from sharing the faith. Seeds often remain hidden for a long time before they sprout. Our task is to continue planting the seeds of God's Word with patience, trusting that He will bring about the harvest in His time.

  • Heaven Has a Classroom, Are You Enrolled? |. Fr. Matthew Lamoureux, MIC
    Jul 12 2026

Homily for July 11th. 2026 | Marian Apostolate in Medjugorje
What does it take to become a saint in a world that prizes comfort? In this powerful homily, Fr. Matt Lamoureux, MIC reflects on the life of St. Benedict, whose unwavering battle against evil, disciplined life of prayer and work, and courageous fidelity to Christ transformed the Church. Even when faced with persecution and an attempt on his life, St. Benedict refused to compromise, challenging us to ask: Have we become too comfortable in our spiritual lives? Who is really teaching us; Christ or the voices of the world?
Drawing from his apostolate with Mission Medjugorje, Fr. Matt reminds us that Our Lady continually calls her children to conversion, prayer, Scripture, and a deeper relationship with Jesus. Her messages are an invitation to enter the true school of holiness—but are we listening? Let this inspiring reflection encourage you to make Jesus your greatest teacher and rediscover the path to authentic discipleship through prayer, sacrifice, and trust in God.
