  • Relational Ministry Matters

Healthy ministry is built on intentional, trust-filled relationships—not efficient, well-run programs.

When people are the priority, everything shifts. You measure success by life change instead of attendance. You slow down enough to notice needs. You invest deeply instead of spreading yourself thin. Students feel known, leaders feel cared for, and parents feel partnered with—not sidelined.

That kind of ministry doesn’t require a certain personality type either. Whether you’re outgoing or introverted, what matters most is consistency, presence, and genuine care. Relationships grow through small, repeated moments of showing up, listening well, and following through.

And over time, you realize this: the most meaningful impact rarely comes from what you planned—it comes from how you showed up for people along the way.

  • 89. Gender Confusion, Transitioning, and Transformation with Kyla Gillespie

It was such an honor to sit down with Kyla Gillespie as she shared her story of gender dysphoria, transitioning, de-transitioning, and how the church played a role in her salvation and transformation. Her testimony of God at work in her life should compel us to love our students wrestling with gender confusion and shape the way we minister and disciple them.

Check our her newest book: TransFormed

Now an international speaker and founder of Renewed & Transformed ministries, Kyla Gillespie's highest hope is that God might use her story to reveal He is big enough, good enough, and smart enough to guide any struggler—and that life in Christ is worth every moment of the struggle. “May others who find themselves in my shoes earnestly consider Christ who is worth it no matter the cost,” she declares, “and may the Church be there to love and disciple them like it did me. If anyone wonders if transformation and freedom is possible, here is my account of God’s redemptive and glorious work through his Word and his people.”
