Is a 482% increase in police pursuits making our streets safer, or more dangerous?

In this episode of Hill of Justice, we dive into a chilling surge in high-speed chases across DeKalb County following a controversial policy shift that grants officers broader discretion to pursue suspects for any offense.

We examine the tragic 2026 case of Antoinette Catchings, an innocent bystander who lost her life during a chase involving a stolen vehicle, and the subsequent felony murder charges filed against the 18-year-old driver—a legal move that has sparked intense debate over the definition of "calculated murder" versus "accidental tragedy."

Former Investigator Jerome Hill and retired Sheriff Victor Hill break down the "Risk-Reward Ratio" of law enforcement tactics, from no-knock warrants to high-speed pursuits.

You’ll learn about the hidden link between stolen vehicles and violent crime, the psychological toll on officers involved in fatal collisions, and why the future of public safety might rely on autonomous drone technology rather than two-ton bullets on the pavement.

We ask the hard question: who truly bears responsibility when the act of catching a criminal creates a greater danger to the community than the crime itself?
