BABYYYY, grab your headphones because we got A LOT to unpack this week! 🎙️😂

First of all, WHAT is going on in this world?! We're discussing the heartbreaking Kentucky case involving April Barlow Celio, a pregnant mother whose unborn baby was reportedly removed from her womb, and the suspect who was later arrested in Tennessee. This story is beyond disturbing, and we have some serious questions.

Now let's change gears because CHRISTMAS IS COMING… and who's actually shopping?! 🎄😭 Because at this point, these Christmas lists and my bank account are NOT on the same page!

And speaking of doing the most, let's talk about SOLO PODCASTING! Because y'all see the finished episodes, but the recording, editing, researching, creating content, promoting, and trying to stay consistent? WHEW! Being a one-woman production team is NOT for the weak!

But we're not stopping there because I have some REAL questions:

👀 Are family members OBLIGATED to help you just because y'all share DNA?

📱 Why do we keep checking on people who NEVER check on us? At what point do we stop overextending ourselves?

❤️ Tough love vs. soft love: What's the difference? Does everybody need tough love, or do some folks really just need a little more understanding, patience, and compassion?

😩 Miserable people: Why are some people so committed to spreading their misery? And why does it seem like some of them have already done their "jail math," as Charlamagne Tha God would say?! LMAOOO!

We're talking boundaries, expectations, accountability, emotional maturity, family dynamics, and knowing when to love people from a DISTANCE!

Because let's be for real… you can love people without constantly saving them, supporting them without sacrificing yourself, and hold people accountable without tearing them down!

This week's question: Are you really showing people love, or are you just giving them the kind of love YOU think they need?

Facebook subs at our BIG AGE?! Pleaseeeee. 😂 This week on Highly Talkative, we’re getting into another random-but-somehow-everything-connects conversation about life, motherhood, family, football, work and everything currently getting on my nerves.

First of all, why do I keep forgetting what I was about to say?! Listen, we’re blaming ADHD and moving on. 😂 Then I’m talking about how much my village—including my own kids—has been showing up for me and allowing me to actually get OUT, have fun and remember that Mama has a life too.

I’m also giving my sisters their flowers because having their support means more to me than they probably realize, and honestly, I’m proud of US.

On the struggle bus: eczema is currently kicking my grown-ass ass, and trying to figure out what to cook for dinner every single day might be right behind it. How can somebody love to EAT this much but never know what they want to cook?! 😂

We’re also getting into Last Chance U: Football and why I genuinely think young football players should watch it—not just for football, but for the lessons about discipline, opportunity, consequences and what it really takes to make it.

Then we’re talking WORK. Should you be scared to express yourself professionally just because you're worried about losing your job? Because listen…if a company really wants to fire you, being silent about everything isn't necessarily going to save you.

And finally, we’re discussing the Protect College Sports Act. They say they're protecting college athletics and student-athletes…but when we're talking NIL money, revenue sharing, restrictions and who gets control over what these athletes earn, I definitely have some questions.

Basically: we're laughing, venting, giving people their flowers and questioning EVERYTHING.
