Julia and Leo interview Theresa Mackiewicz. Theresa is an author and special education teacher. Theresa's mission is to help students who struggle; to guide children and families by the examples set in her social stories. A special education teacher and multi-award-winning author, Theresa is passionate about giving back to the community through her Mrs. Sunshine’s book series and artwork. Television and podcasts in the United States and internationally have interviewed her numerous times. She has collaborated with companies such as Barnes & Noble and Honey Dew Donuts to conduct book signings to reach hundreds of children. Many colleges and school systems have also promoted her work, using her books directly in the classroom and as a resource for new teachers and parents. Currently, a high school special education teacher at a social-emotional school, Theresa still stays true to her passion to help all children globally, both in and outside of the classroom. She maintains these accomplishments all while raising twin boys and supporting her husband’s U.S. Coast Guard career.Website / Social Media Links:www.tmackbooks.com https://linktr.ee/tmackbooks Email us at mysteryofthesoulpodcast@gmail.com with any questions or topic suggestions!
