He Can Wield the Sword Of Truth

The Father
has a Vineyard
here on Earth,
- He sent His Son
To be rooted
into Mankind
through His birth,
- To be “The One”.
Each man
could graft his life
into this Vine,
- And grow in grace,
As his life bore fruit so man
could make him wine,
- So sweet to taste.

With this wine
and Bread of Life
he’d nurture
other souls in need,
Nourishing, encouraging,
the brothers,
- Friends indeed.

The foe will seek
to break man
from this branch,
- He takes his time,
To see man grow
new roots
in lies and sin,
- that nurtures crime.

Man’s heritage of grace
was purchased
by the Father’s Son
Who traded death
for Life eternal
for those souls he’d won!

These men –
the holy chosen;
to Son’s walk they testify,
Recalling step by step,
each drop of blood
that justifies

Their hands record
the testament
bestowed on those He’d won.
So Man can see
what falls on those acquainted
with His only Son.

Man’s heritage of grace

by the Father’s Son
Who traded death
for Life eternal

Foe’s tactics
now are plain in Man’s
anointed holy vision
And safe within
the Father’s love,
Men stand by their decision.

His blood forever
ratifies the seal -
Upon His testament
And reveals
His Grace for others still.

The way is hard and fraught
with pitfalls set up by the foe
But man is saved by standing
on the Father’s bright rainbow

through this Valley of Death,

The bones of the martyrs
piled high as a hill, -
Though lions and fire devour –
they love Him still!
Each saint the cruel foe

Had others convicted
with blood-ties that bind.

Behold the Cross is Empty !

Oh my poor dejected mourners,
Lift your eyes up to the sky,
Lift your gaze up to the cross
On which they lifted Him on high

But behold the cross is empty !
Go and seek Him in the tomb,
For His friends have laid Him safe
And sound in death’s dark womb.

What, it’s empty? - Then where is He? -
For they sealed and marked His place !
