Our mission, in the founding of Haunt & Gather, is to get you to the outdoors with a sense of wonder and an open mind. The discussions at Haunt & Gather center on the mystery of the world around us, an infinite untamed wild that is sometimes beyond our perception. We discuss the homestead, our bastion of calm that abuts the unknown and unpredictable world. We discuss adventure, the times we leave our cozy place to experience its marvels and perils. We then tackle hard and soft skills to aid in making both part of your life-- All while telling as many ghost stories as possible.

Between adventures, Jack and Ben share a few leads into local legend-- are there more Roadweirds and Melonheads about? It's time for maps and red string.

While they're out of the woods, why not enjoy the homestead? Today, we begin our sourdough starters, a marvelous addition to every kitchen shelf.

Our third Halloween! After a long hiatus, Jack and Ben return to discuss the year gone by-- a year in "retirement," where they have not actively sought the supernatural. Instead, it would seem, the paranormal has sought them.

  • BONUS: The Dark Syllabus
    Sep 26 2024

Haunt and Gather presents: The Dark Syllabus! While waiting for our next investigation, why not give our new podcast a try?

Join us as we discuss John Keel’s “Mothman Prophecies,” its cultural influence, and its legacy on the paranormal. While we’re taking a critical tone to Keel’s own approach and much of his observations, we also acknowledge his lasting relevance to the field and the possibility to his insights. But mostly, we’ll be busting Mothman’s mothballs.

In this episode, we’ll discuss Chapter 1: Beelzebub Visits West Virginia, a noir main character complex, and a thirteen-step logic leap that must be heard to be believed.
