Aaj hum milte hain Daksh ke ahankaar se — jo yagya aur maryada ke naam par Shiv ko hi bahishkarit kar deta hai. Nandi aur Dadhichi ki chetavni, shraap–prati-shraap ka kolahal, aur Shivji ka karuna-bhara maun… yahin se Daksh-yagya ke vinaash ka beej boya jaata hai.

In Episode 25 of the MahaShivPuran, the story turns toward the rise of ego—ahankaar—through the figure of Prajapati Daksh.
