Gunsmoke: “Lochinvar,” originally broadcast October 17, 1952, is episode 26 of the classic CBS Radio Network Western. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this early, approximately 28-minute sustaining-program broadcast, written by Les Crutchfield and produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.

A former Dodge City resident returns as Artis Nash prepares to marry rancher Ben Martin, stirring old feelings and a dangerous rivalry. With Chester Proudfoot and the people of Dodge City close at hand, Matt Dillon works to keep a personal dispute from turning violent.

Old Time Radio Stories presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
