Thank you so much for joining me for the release of the Grasping Life Podcast.

Season 1 is an ode to my time, growth, community and the people I've met at George Fox University during my 4 years there. This season is filled with 8 stellar George Fox 2020 grads that I look up to and who have consistently challenged me to be better. They each uniquely tell their stories and share perspectives on life, their own growth, and faith that each and every one of us can learn from.

I had a blast recording these. I'm grateful for your ear and will do everything I can to enrich your life through the stories and expertise of extraordinary people.

    May 12 2020

In the very FIRST episode of the Grasping Life Podcast I'm joined by Lydia Taw, 2020 George Fox University Grad in Computer Science and an overall exceptional human.

She has an extremely unique background growing up home-schooled in a Taiwanese-American and Christian home. We discuss the ways that's shaped her, the development of her faith, how she's "found herself" in college and through work, the impressive job she's about to begin at Amazon, and much much more. Lydia has a special way of articulating her thoughts and there's a lot to learn here. Really hope you enjoy!

  • #2: Jaden Sheffey - Football and The Balance of Both High Ambitions While Humbly Serving the Lord
    May 12 2020

In the second episode, it's my pleasure to introduce Jaden Sheffey. Jaden took running start in high school, graduating from George Fox in only two years as both a standout Business Marketing student and also our starting quarterback for the football team both years.

He's played football his entire life, and in between our recording and this release, he committed to the University of Washington to play quarterback and get his MBA. While Jaden has an impressive track record, his best trait is his humble commitment to serving the Lord and caring for those around him.

He's a naturally gifted leader and someone that each of us can learn from. We get deep into his struggles and insight on balancing both having high ambitions while also serving the Lord above all, how he defines his character, denying worldly idols, and so much more.

I would love to connect and hear feedback on how to make the podcast better and understand more of what you'd like to see. Text me at 720-625-2905, email at lane.kimbro@gmail.com, and feel free to follow the Grasping Life Podcast on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/grasping_life_podcast

  • #3: Joel Sigrist - Living Intentionally and Pursuing Exponential Growth
    May 19 2020

For the 3rd episode, I sit down with fellow 2020 George Fox grad, Joel Sigrist. Joel is by far one of the most intentional people I know; intentional about his growth, his future and every other part of his life.

He's a driven entrepreneur who's currently running Prolink, helping job seekers on LinkedIn by optimizing their LinkedIn profiles to get more views from recruiters.

He also has two podcasts. "Bite Sized Philosophy" breaks down quotes and philosophy about life in insightful weekly episodes under 10 minutes long, and "How to Get a Job During a Pandemic" (coming soon!) is him interviewing top recruiters to solve that exact problem.

As he famously quotes, he truly lives his life by design and after every conversation with him, I learn something new and am left more encouraged. This conversation is no different.

Be sure to give this episode a listen and check out his podcast Bite Sized Philosophy on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. If you enjoyed this conversation, or even if you didn't, you won't regret following Joel on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/joel-sigrist/ and on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/sigristmedia/?hl=en for even more wisdom and encouragement.

    May 26 2020

For this episode I sit down with the hard-working, positive and creative Nate Vario, standout 2020 George Fox University Graphic Design Grad.
