  • Grace... Or No Choice
    Oct 20 2026

I’d love to hear from you.

Does God irresistibly cause certain people to believe, or does His grace genuinely invite people to respond?

In Episode 66 of Grace Uncensored, Billy McDonald examines Irresistible Grace, the “I” in TULIP, and asks whether God’s drawing makes faith inevitable.

What do John 6, John 12, Acts 7, and Romans 4 actually say about grace, faith, human response, and resisting the Holy Spirit?

Christians often say God wants a real relationship with us.

But if God changes someone in such a way that choosing anything else becomes impossible, is that still a genuine response?

That’s the tension at the heart of Irresistible Grace.

In this episode, Billy looks carefully at what supporters of Irresistible Grace actually mean, while asking whether Scripture requires us to believe that God’s grace must be irresistible in order to truly be grace.

Jesus said no one can come unless the Father draws them.

But Jesus also said He would draw all people to Himself.

So what does “draw” really mean?

Does drawing mean forcing an unavoidable response?

Or can God genuinely draw, convict, reveal, invite, and pursue while still allowing someone to resist?

Acts 7 gives us some remarkably direct language: “You always resist the Holy Spirit.”

So if Scripture describes people resisting God, what does that mean for Irresistible Grace?

    And what about faith?

If someone chooses to believe, have they contributed to their salvation?

Romans 4 makes an important distinction between works and faith. Faith doesn’t compete with grace. Faith receives what Jesus has already accomplished.

Most importantly, this isn’t just a theological argument.

These ideas affect how people see God, how they understand salvation, and whether they live with confidence in Christ or constantly wonder if they were really chosen, really changed, or really accepted.

The good news keeps pointing us away from ourselves and back to Jesus.

    SCRIPTURES REFERENCED IN THIS EPISODE

    John 6:44

Jesus says no one can come to Him unless the Father draws them. This verse is often used to support Irresistible Grace, but the key question in this episode is what Jesus means by “draw.”

    John 12:32

Jesus says that when He is lifted up, He will draw all people to Himself. This raises an important question: if drawing automatically means causing someone irresistibly to believe, why don’t all people believe?

    Acts 7:51

Stephen tells his listeners, “You always resist the Holy Spirit.” The passage shows people genuinely resisting the work and conviction of the Holy Spirit.

    Romans 4:5

Paul contrasts works with faith. The person who does not work but trusts God is credited with righteousness. Faith isn’t presented as earning salvation but as trusting the God who saves.

    John 6:37

Jesus says that whoever comes to Him will never be driven away. Rather than asking someone to determine whether they’re secretly chosen before coming, Jesus gives assurance to the person who comes to Him.

  • Jesus Died for the World... Except Most of It?
    Oct 13 2026

I’d love to hear from you.

Did Jesus die for everyone, or only for the elect?

What does the Bible really teach about Limited Atonement, the “L” in TULIP?

In Episode 65, Billy McDonald examines John 3:16, 1 John 2:2, Hebrews 2:9, and other key Scriptures to ask one simple question: Who did Jesus really die for?

Christians often say, “Jesus died for the whole world.” But then some teach that He actually died only for those God had already chosen to save.

    So which is it?

If Jesus died for everyone, why isn’t everyone automatically saved? And if He only died for a preselected group, can we honestly look every person in the eye and say, “Christ died for you”?

In this episode of Grace Uncensored, Billy explores Limited Atonement, the difference between something being fully provided and actually being received, the sincerity of the gospel invitation, and why our assurance should ultimately rest in Jesus.

The question is not simply whether the cross was powerful enough.

The question is: Who was it for?

    Scriptures Quoted and Referenced

    John 1:29

John the Baptist identifies Jesus as “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Jesus came to do what the Old Testament sacrifices could never permanently accomplish.

    1 Timothy 2:4

God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

    1 Timothy 2:6

Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for all people, raising an important question about the scope of Christ’s sacrifice.

    John 3:16

God loved the world and gave His Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

    John 3:17

God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

    John 3:18

Jesus distinguishes between those who believe and those who do not, showing that Christ coming for the world does not mean everyone automatically receives eternal life.

    1 John 2:2

Jesus is the atoning sacrifice for believers’ sins, “and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”

    Hebrews 2:9

Jesus, by the grace of God, tasted death for everyone.

    Hebrews 10:14

By one sacrifice, Christ perfected believers for all time. His finished work does not need to be repeated.

  • Chosen Before You Believed… Or Chosen Because You’re In Christ?
    Oct 6 2026
I’d love to hear from you. What does the Bible really mean when it says believers are chosen, elect, and predestined? Does Unconditional Election mean God selected certain individuals for salvation before they were born, or is election centered in Christ? In Episode 64, Billy McDonald examines Ephesians 1, Romans 9, Romans 10, predestination, election, faith, and the genuine invitation of the gospel. The “U” in TULIP stands for Unconditional Election. But what exactly does that mean?In this episode of Grace Uncensored, we look at one of the most debated teachings in Christianity and ask whether God chose particular individuals for salvation before the foundation of the world while passing over everyone else.Or is Paul making a different point when he says believers were “chosen in Him”?We take a closer look at Ephesians 1 and Paul’s repeated emphasis on being in Christ. We also examine Jacob and Esau in Romans 9, Paul’s conclusion that the Gentiles received righteousness by faith, the “everyone” invitation of Romans 10, and the statement in 1 Timothy 2 that God wants all people to be saved.Salvation is completely by grace.Faith doesn’t earn the gift. Faith receives what Christ has already provided. So does believing somehow make salvation less gracious?Does “everyone who calls” really mean everyone? Was Romans 9 written to explain which individuals were chosen for heaven and hell, or was Paul dealing with something much larger in God’s covenant plan? And what does it mean for your assurance when Paul says you were chosen in Christ, included in Christ, and sealed with the Holy Spirit? This episode isn’t about attacking Christians who see these passages differently. It’s about opening the Bible, looking carefully at the text, and asking whether what we’ve been taught matches what Scripture actually says.THE LINK:Everything's in one place at: https://GRACEUNCENSORED.ORG• The Free Grace Uncensored Devotional • What Happened the Moment You Were Saved • Support the Message. The good news doesn’t merely deal with sin. It gives the believer a new identity in Christ.Hebrews 10:14 Christ’s one offering has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. His sacrifice accomplished something complete and lasting.Ephesians 1:3–5 God has blessed believers with every spiritual blessing in Christ, chose us in Him before the creation of the world, and predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ. This is the central passage in the episode’s discussion of election.Ephesians 1:11 Paul says, “In him we were also chosen,” continuing the chapter’s repeated emphasis that God’s blessings, inheritance, and purpose for believers are found in Christ.Ephesians 1:13 Paul says the Gentile believers heard the message of truth, believed the gospel, were included in Christ, and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.Romans 9:10–13 Jacob and Esau are discussed before either had done anything good or bad. The episode asks whether Paul is describing individual eternal destinies or God’s choice concerning His covenant purpose.Romans 9:30 Paul says the Gentiles, who weren’t pursuing righteousness, obtained righteousness by faith. This helps show where Paul’s Romans 9 argument is heading.Romans 10:9 Paul says that if you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” The episode asks a simple but important question: does everyone really mean everyone?1 Timothy 2:3–6 Paul says God wants all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth, and that Christ gave Himself as a ransom for all people.John 6:37 Jesus says that whoever comes to Him He will never drive away. The emphasis is on looking to Christ rather than trying to determine whether you were included on some hidden list.Romans 8:29 The episode references God’s predetermined purpose that those who are in Christ will be conformed to the image of His Son.The next episode moves to the “L” in TULIP: Limited Atonement. When Jesus died on the cross, whose sins did He actually die for?Everybody?Or only the people God had already chosen?Remember, Once You’ve Heard This, You Can’t Unhear It.Music License: YouTube Content ID AMMBZKFSZAXYEUETSupport the showThanks for joining me today on Grace Uncensored—where we clear away religious noise and rediscover Jesus. If this episode helped you breathe a little easier, be sure to follow or subscribe so you don’t miss future messages of freedom. You can head over to GraceUncensored.org to watch the latest episode, catch up on past episodes, get the free Grace Uncensored devotional, and if you’d like, support the message as it ...
