Every great move of God is born out of prayer. Persistent prayer is the engine of eternal impact—it shifts atmospheres, aligns our hearts with God’s will, and invites His power to bring transformation. In this message, we’ll see how prayer fuels revival and learn to cultivate a life of consistent, humble dependence on God. When we pray, we position ourselves to see the miraculous.

The journey through life often feels long. We find ourselves wondering why Jesus doesn’t return as soon as we would expect. Peter reminds that God is not slow in keeping his promises, but he is patient. God wants everyone to repent and turn to him. There is an urgency to our mission because Jesus could return anytime; we are in the homestretch. We want to live ready for his return, but also do anything and everything we can to help others be ready as well.

Suffering is unavoidable and comes with living in this broken world. However, our suffering isn’t in vain. It can be used for good but also intensifies our longing for heaven. We can suffer well knowing it won’t be wasted, and our homesickness won’t last forever.

As Temporary Residents, we are called to submit within our human relationships, even it isn’t easy. Willing submission is a counter-cultural, strange way to live. However, when we choose submission, we help people get a glimpse of Jesus.

Imagine you're a wide-eyed newborn, arms flailing for that first nourishing sip. Peter beckons us to yearn just like that for God's pure spiritual milk, casting aside the tangles of malice and hypocrisy to flourish in salvation, fitting ourselves as lively stones into His majestic temple of grace. We're no ragtag bunch, but a treasured tribe, royal ambassadors and a sacred community destined to echo His glories far and wide.

While Jesus saved us from a life void of meaning with one that is holy and full, we tend to drift back to the familiarity of the empty life. Reminded of the high price He paid to rescue us from empty living, it is time to put an end to empty pursuits.

There is a tendency to live as if this world is our final destination. But, remembering we have a heavenly inheritance that will never perish gives us the courage to endure the trials of this life that will only last a little while in comparison to eternity with Jesus.

Jesus is the most intriguing figure in history. The number of lives that He has impacted throughout time is almost unimaginable, and the number of miracles, great and small, is daunting. Yet He tells us that we will do even greater things than He did, in His name. God has given us one life to live. How are you using yours? When Jesus said, “Come, follow me,” it was an invitation to learn, but not to learn from the sidelines. The internship with Jesus was hands-on! At first, the disciples struggled to overcome feelings of doubt and inadequacy, but soon they realized they could do amazing things because of the One who walked with them. They spent their lives being amazed by the power they had been given while being humbled by the One they were called to serve. Are you willing to use your life as an offering to bring Jesus to others? Serve it up by acting in Jesus’ name and giving Him all the glory and honor.
