  • Rocketman, Jet Pack Pilot, Stuntman, as seen on MTV, NASCAR, Rose Bowl & Parade with Dan Schlund
    Jun 22 2026

Today’s guest is Dan Schlund — world-renowned Jet Pack Pilot, Stuntman, Author, Pyrotechnician and the subject of the documentary "The Last Rocketman,” based on his book under the same name. We're expecting a release date of late 2026 / early 2027 on Netflix or Amazon. There are only 11 men who have been rocket men since 1961 and Dan’s the 11th.

In this memoir of faith, family, and finding purpose through physical extremes, Dan traces his journey from adventurous teen to stuntman and pyrotechnician, ultimately becoming one of the world’s few remaining rocketbelt pilots. It’s a story of wisdom earned through pain and uncertainty, of frailty and recovery, of losing heroes and finding the hero within—and of the great crashes that nearly ended it all.

Dan spent a decade flying jet packs while surviving devastating skin graft surgeries (185 inches of skin removed), a broken neck, and being burned alive. But … chicks dig scars and stunt men.

He had to pivot to a new career and created "National Set Medics,” a company that provides medics to TV shows and film sets grossing over 10 million dollars in revenue with 12,600 medics.

Fun quote from Dan, "It’s a bottle rocket at the end of a shoestring."

    Jun 15 2026

It's Storytelling time with Kirk McCarly of ESPN. Kirk recently came back from a 397 mile extravaganza via BRAG (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia - brag.org). The highlight...Trilith in Fayette County. We also go back to 1923 where jockey Frank Hayes suffered a fatal heart attack in the midst of a race at Belmont Park in New York. Exactly, the next time we have Kirk on. He's promised to talk about Family Feud, Doc Ellis' no hitter in 1970, and the 1979 Seattle SuperSonics.

  • Savio P. Clemente Survived Cancer Twice, and Here's How He Did It
    Jun 8 2026

Savio almost died in 2014. Hearing those deafening words - "it is stage 3" - tore him up. But he promised himself that if he made it to the five year remission mark and was still cancer free that he would make it count.

As a syndicated columnist for Authority Magazine and Thrive Global, Savio interviewed nearly 175 cancer survivors from all walks of life. In his book, he share the true stories of 35 of those survivors and what they learned physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually from this very difficult experience which has forever shaped their worldview. One of the consistent themes through all of them is forgiveness. Largely forgiving ourselves.

Savio P. Clemente is a keynote and TEDx speaker, journalist, board-certified wellness coach, best-selling author, and healthcare leadership strategist.

After 2,000+ interviews with global leaders and his own experience rebuilding after surviving cancer twice, Savio developed the Adaptive Resilience Leadership framework. His work helps leaders cut through cognitive overload, make clearer decisions, and avoid the quiet performance drop that often follows high-pressure moments. He focuses on helping individuals & organizations operate with clarity and consistency when it matters most because performance usually doesn’t fail first. Clarity does. Adrenaline fades, processes normalize, but the "operating system" that once worked slows. Second-guessing creeps in.

  • Back in the ESPN Broadcast Booth after 5 broken ribs, separated shoulder and a concussion with Kirk McCarley
    May 2 2026

Our ESPN friend Kirk McCarley is back on the Show to spin some more sports yarn after getting run over by a truck. Okay, hit by a truck, but what's the difference when it's a truck vs. bike. As a result, Kirk is recovering from 5 broken ribs, a separated shoulder and a concussion. Today we'll hear a story of forgiveness and healing with a positive attitude. You often times hear Kirk say he's blessed. You'll hear that today. We're blessed to have Kirk on the Show so soon after the wreck talking Bum Phillips, burning albums on a baseball field and parachuting into a scoreboard.

Phillips was fired on New Year's Eve 1980 by Oilers owner Bud Adams. The 1980 Oilers, at times, had trouble scoring and Phillips refused to hire an offensive coordinator. "I didn't feel like we needed it", he said. At the time his 11 wins that season were the most wins in a season of a coach who would then be fired.

  • The Strength Within You; It's Always Too Soon to Quit with Jay Setchell
    Apr 20 2026

Jay Setchell has experienced both multiple deaths and near death experiences. He's had 73 surgeries and even experienced paralysis. He's done all of this with a foundation of Faith, Hope and Prayer.

Everyone carries a strength inside them, often without even knowing it’s there. The key is learning to tap into that strength when life demands it. Sometimes it comes from lessons we’ve picked up along the way. Other times, it shows up in the moment, surprising even us.

The questions Jay has often asked himself is: Where does my inner strength come from? The truth is, it’s not from just one place. His upbringing shaped him: parents, grandparents, neighbors, teachers, faith, friends, have all left their mark.

The discipline and structure of the Marine Corps drilled into him a commitment to every cause he took on.

Years of pain, frustration, and setbacks gave him a relentless determination to get back up and keep going. His successes fueled his drive, and even his failures gave him fire to keep pushing forward.

What he’s learned is simple but powerful: He can’t expect his future to be handed to him by someone else. It’s his responsibility. That doesn’t mean we don’t need other people. We do. We need the Lord God first and foremost. Relationships, family, and community are vital to living a full life. But at the end of the day, no one else can set our goals or make us take the steps to reach them. That’s on us.

Jay would say … “Your success, depending on what "success" means to you is a matter of courage, resilience, grit, determination, perseverance, choices, failures and what you did to overcome them, your thought pattern and so much more."

“It’s ALWAYS too soon to quit!”

    Apr 13 2026

On October 6, 2019 at 25 years old, post college football and three months away from his wedding, Tyler suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the Medtronic Twin Cities 10-Mile race. Lying nearly lifeless on the pavement, a collection of strangers (one of them 'Jesus' AKA Jesse) came to his aide and performed CPR on him for 10-15 minutes until an AED arrived on the scene and shocked his heart back into rhythm.

As he recovered from the cardiac arrest, he began to share about his experiences facing adversity. Seeing the positive impact he was able to have on others through sharing his true, real life experiences, it inspired him to formalize his teachings and motivation … and Living Proof Leadership was born.

It’s time to stop letting challenges define you. It’s time to become an overcomer! Learn how in Tyler's Book, More Than a Conquerer, Finding Victory, Purpose, and Peace in Life’s Hardest Battles. Whether you're a lifelong Christian, new in your faith, or simply curious about how God can transform hardship into testimony, this book is for you.
