Friendship & Disaster: A crow and a sparrow were good friends living in a forest. When a severe rainstorm hit, the sparrow's fragile nest made of dry grass was blown away, leaving it shivering and drenched in the cold.
The Blessing & The Golden Nest: Following a sage's advice, the sparrow faced east at sunrise and recited a sacred mantra with devotion. In response, a vast treasure of gold appeared. The sparrow hired a goldsmith to build a sturdy golden nest, rewarded him with the remaining gold, and began living comfortably.
The Crow’s Greed & Jealousy: Overcome by envy after seeing the golden nest, the crow coaxed the innocent sparrow into revealing the secret mantra.
The Tragic Consequence: Driven by malicious intent and greed, the crow recited the mantra. Instead of gold, blazing flames erupted, consuming both the wooden nest and the crow to ashes.
Moral: Good intentions lead to positive outcomes, whereas greed and jealousy bring ultimate ruin—what goes around comes around ("good brings good, and evil brings evil").
