You will either worship a temporary king or the eternal one. The King who made all things came to restore all things.

The wise men knew who the King really was. They saw him in action 300+ years before herod was in power.

For the modern Christian, there is a clarity that faithfulness is not measured by how loudly one resists authority, but by where your loyalty ultimately lies. John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

The wise men (Magi) brought these gifts that were intentional and purposeful. They brought Myrrh to a baby. The wise men as they were known considered not just the birth and life of Jesus as significant but they were also aware of the coming death. - The Gold was to honor the Royalty and Kingship of Jesus, - The Frankincense was to recognize the Priestly role and command. - The myrrh was to acknowledge principle reason for His life and that is Savior. Luke 2:11 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

11/23/2025 Gratitude is the fruit of the Father’s grace. Even when you feel furthest from God you can still call on God.

Gratitude starts in faith and slowly turns in to fruit in our lives, then slowly becomes our new posture that keeps us anchored in God’s goodness.

Luke 15:11-32 11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he (the Father) divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.

17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 20 And he arose and came to his father.
