    A bit more about Lieutenant Michael Ferrari... Michael Ferrari is a New York native who enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1975 and following a series of assignments as an enlisted man was commissioned an Ensign in May of 1988. He completed a twenty-one year career retiring as a Lieutenant after serving as an Aviation Maintenance Limited Duty Officer and officer technical manager which included support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1991.

    After retiring, Michael worked with Boeing Commercial Airplanes and currently works for a Federal Agency in the Aviation Industry. Michael has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduating Summa Cum Laude.     A bit about Paul... Paul Holbert, is a twenty-one-year retired army veteran and author who conveys his experiences and imagination in works of adventure and fiction. Despite health struggles following his military service, Paul feels fortunate and uses writing as a form of therapy to deal with PTSD. He also wanted to find a way to give back to other veterans who struggle with everyday life which led him to doing the show on the Going Solo Network. He and his wife make their home in northern Virginia, where he currently works for a federal agency and serves as an adjunct professor, teaching for a local college.

    More about Operation Helping Hand: Operation Helping Hand Tampa, an all-volunteer 501c3 organization, provides support and assistance to active duty service members and veterans of all conflicts post 9/11/2001 who receive care through the James A Haley Polytrauma Rehabilitation Unit. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting therapeutic rehabilitation programs (music, art, dance, virtual reality, gaming), direct in-patient care and support for patient families.
