Scripture Reference: Luke 8:26–39
When Jesus steps into a person's life, radical transformation takes place. This week, Pastor JT walks through the unforgettable story of the Gerasene demoniac in Luke 8 to deliver a powerful truth: What Jesus does in you is never just for you.
Your story of transformation isn't meant to be kept secret—it is a mission assigned by God to bring hope and freedom to the people around you.
Who You Were (Luke 8:27, 29): Before meeting Jesus, this man was bound by chains, isolated from community, living among tombs, and stripped of his dignity. This is a vivid picture of our spiritual state apart from Christ—bound by sin, broken, and hopelessly lost.
Who You’ve Become (Luke 8:35): When Jesus stepped into his storm, everything changed. The townspeople found the man sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed, and in his right mind. Salvation isn't just behavior modification; it is a complete restoration of mind, spirit, and identity.
Who You’re Sent to Tell (Luke 8:38–39): The man begged to go with Jesus, but Jesus gave him a clear commission: "Return home and tell how much God has done for you." Jesus saved you to send you. Your life, your transformed mind, and your story are spiritual weapons meant to free others.
Pastor JT left us with two direct challenge questions depending on where you stand with Jesus today:
If you are still bound, isolated, or feeling empty inside: What is keeping you from the Jesus who wants to break your chains and give you brand-new life right now? (Reach out to our team or fill out an "I Have Decided" card on our app so we can walk with you!)
If you have given your life to Jesus: Who are the 5 specific people in your life that Jesus is calling you to go and tell? Identify a friend, a sibling, a parent, a neighbor, or a coworker, and commit to sharing your story with them this week.
Connect with Us: Your testimony is one of the most powerful tools God has given you to point people to Jesus! Listen to the full sermon on our app or website, and share this episode with someone who needs to hear about the freedom found in Christ today.
