• Hanging Up My Cleats
    Oct 27 2026

Since 2020, working from home has given me more flexibility, but it has also challenged me to find meaningful social connection. Along the way, I’ve caught myself wondering if I have enough to say, if I’m showing up the right way, or if I’m overthinking the very interactions I’m seeking.

So when a friend invited me to join a softball team, I said yes. I was craving connection, and in that moment, I let that desire override what I already knew about my history with injuries and why I had stepped away from the game.

Long story short, I reinjured myself and ultimately made the difficult decision to leave the team. And honestly? Quitting was hard. I felt embarrassed. I struggled with what it meant to walk away from something I had agreed to do.

But sometimes, growth means recognizing when it’s time to hang up your cleats.

In this episode of Glow Brighter with Toni, I’m sharing what this experience taught me about self-awareness, the pressure we put on ourselves, honoring our limits, and the difference between making room for connection and forcing ourselves into situations that aren’t right for us.

Inspired by a passage from Melody Beattie’s Journey to the Heart and the reminder to ask ourselves, “Have You Been Working Too Hard?”, we explore what it means to loosen our grip, stop pushing so hard, and trust that we don’t have to make everything happen through sheer effort.

Sometimes our job isn’t to push harder. It’s to relax, let go, and allow life to unfold.

✨ This week’s reminder: You’re allowed to change your mind. You’re allowed to honor what you’ve learned. And you’re allowed to stop forcing what no longer fits.

  • The Crown Center: Inspiration, Questions & Mental Pressure | Part 9 of 9
    Oct 20 2026

If you're new to Human Design, think of it as a map of your energy. It gives you insight into how you're naturally wired, where your energy is consistent, and where you may be more open to outside influence. And today, we're looking at one piece of that map: the Crown Center.

The Crown Center is the center of inspiration, questions, curiosity, and mental pressure. It's where ideas, questions, and inspiration can begin bubbling up and sometimes, where we feel pressure to figure things out.

And if you've ever found yourself wondering about something, following that thought down a rabbit hole, and suddenly questioning five other things… you know what I mean.

When the Crown Center is defined, there can be a more consistent experience of mental pressure, inspiration, and the questions that capture your attention. When it's open or undefined, you may be more influenced by the questions, ideas, and mental pressure coming from other people and your environment. You might find yourself thinking about things that aren't even yours to figure out. Neither is better.

In this final episode of our Human Design Centers series, we're exploring the defined and open Crown Center, the gifts and challenges of both, and how inspiration and mental pressure can show up in everyday life.

Because inspiration can be wonderful. Curiosity can open doors. Questions can lead us somewhere new. Not every question needs an answer, and not every idea needs your attention.

Your Human Design isn't here to tell you who to be. It's here to help you notice who you already are.

  • The Anja/Mind Center: Ideas & How We Think
    Oct 6 2026

If you’re new to Human Design, think of it as a map of your energy. It gives you insight into how you’re naturally wired, where your energy is consistent, and where you may be more open to outside influence. And today, we’re looking at one piece of that map: the Mind Center.

The Mind (also called Anja) Center is often associated with the mind, concepts, ideas, opinions, analysis, and the way we process and organize information.

And let’s be honest… our minds can have A LOT to say.

When the Mind Center is defined, there can be a more consistent way of processing information and forming thoughts, ideas, and opinions.

When it’s open or undefined, you may be more influenced by the ideas, opinions, and ways of thinking around you. That can sometimes create pressure to have an answer, be certain, or figure everything out.

    But neither is better.

In this episode, we’re talking about the differences between a defined and open Mind Center, what each can bring to the table, and some of the ways the mind can show up in everyday life.

Because having a strong mind doesn’t mean you have to be right.

And having an open mind doesn’t mean you don’t know anything.

Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is notice when we’re thinking because we’re genuinely curious… and when we’re thinking because we feel like we have to figure something out.

  • The Throat Center: Your Voice, Expression & Being Seen
    Sep 29 2026

If you’re new to Human Design, think of it as a map of your energy. It gives you insight into how you’re naturally wired, where your energy is consistent, and where you may be more open to outside influence. And today, we’re looking at one piece of that map: the Throat Center.

The Throat Center is all about communication, expression, and bringing things into the world. It’s where our thoughts, ideas, feelings, and experiences can be expressed through our words and actions.

So what does it mean when your Throat Center is defined? And what about when it’s open?

In this episode, we’re talking about both—and the gifts and challenges that can come with each.

We’ll explore the pressure to speak, the desire to be heard or noticed, knowing when it’s time to use your voice, and the power of realizing that you don’t have to say something just because you can.

Because communication isn’t always about talking more.

Sometimes it’s about saying what you mean.

Sometimes it’s about waiting for the right moment.

And sometimes it’s about being comfortable enough with yourself to let the silence be exactly what it is.

Your voice is part of how you express who you are but you don’t have to perform to prove that you have something worth saying.

  • The G-Center: Identity, Direction & Love
    Sep 22 2026

If you’re new to Human Design, think of it as a map of your energy. It gives you insight into how you’re naturally wired, where your energy is consistent, and where you may be more open to outside influence. And today, we’re looking at one piece of that map: the G-Center.

The G-Center is connected to identity, direction, and love.

So what does that actually mean in everyday life?

We’re going to talk about what it can look like to have a defined G-Center versus an open G-Center, including the gifts, the challenges, and some of the ways we can become conditioned around who we think we’re supposed to be.

A defined G-Center can bring a more consistent sense of identity and direction, while an open G-Center can be more influenced by the people, places, and environments around you.

    And neither is better.

This center can teach us a lot about the difference between knowing who you are, searching for who you’re supposed to be, and allowing yourself to discover who you are along the way.

So let’s talk about the G-Center and what it might reveal about who you are, where you’re going, and how you experience love.

  • The Heart Center: Worth, Willpower & Proving Yourself
    Sep 15 2026

If you’re new to Human Design, think of it as a map of your energy. It gives you insight into how you’re naturally wired, where your energy is consistent, and where you may be more open to outside influence. And today, we’re looking at one piece of that map: the Heart Center.

The Heart Center is connected to willpower, determination, value, self-worth, and that little voice that says, “I can do this.”

When the Heart Center is defined, there can be a more consistent connection to willpower and the desire to accomplish, commit, and follow through.

When it’s open, you may be more susceptible to proving yourself, to yourself or to other people. You might find yourself saying yes when you don’t really want to, making promises you don’t need to make, or feeling like you have something to prove.

But here’s the important part: neither is better.

This week’s episode is about understanding your relationship with worth, willpower, achievement, and that pressure to prove that you’re enough.

Because your worth was never something you had to earn in the first place. ❤️

  • The Sacral Center: Energy, Satisfaction & Knowing When It’s a Yes
    Sep 1 2026

In this episode of my 9-part Human Design Center Series, we’re diving into the Sacral Center—the center associated in Human Design with life force energy, sustainable work energy, and the gut response.

The Sacral Center is especially interesting because it is either defined or open. and those experiences can be very different.

If your Sacral is defined, you may have more consistent access to sustainable energy when you’re engaging in things that are truly right for you. If your Sacral is open, your energy may be less consistent, and learning to recognize when you’ve had enough can become especially important.

We’ll talk about the gifts of both a defined and open Sacral, the relationship between energy and satisfaction, and why constantly pushing yourself to keep up with everyone else may not actually be the answer.

And, of course, we’ll talk about one of the most recognizable concepts in Human Design:

    That gut-level “uh-huh” or “uh-uh.”

Because sometimes your body knows the answer before your mind has had time to overthink it.

✨ The question is: Are you paying attention?

    Let’s Glow Brighter.
