Global History explores the world’s most mysterious, hidden, and debated stories from the past. Each week, we follow the evidence behind forgotten disasters, secret places, strange legends, lost cultures, political cover-ups, and turning points that still shape our lives. Hosted as an engaging conversation between a HOST and RESEARCHER, every episode separates documented history from folklore, explores competing interpretations, and asks the questions that sources cannot always answer. • Innocent Must I Die: The Witch Hunts Were Not Medieval
    Oct 31 2026

Bamberg, July 1628. A former burgomaster, his hands crushed in thumbscrews, writes a secret letter to his daughter: he confessed to witchcraft only to stop the pain.

Global History follows the witch hunts from a failed prosecutor's manual, the Malleus Maleficarum, to the burning years of 1560–1630; from the arithmetic behind the famous "nine million" to the roughly 50,000 executions historians estimate today; and to the surprising official who first demanded evidence and said stop. Plus: a round of Myth or Fact.

English narration with Adam Stone, generated using ElevenLabs. Original background music and reconstructed sound effects; sounds are not archival recordings. The opening scene is an illustration based on Johannes Junius's surviving letter. Independent editorial production, no sponsorship or paid placement. Research checked on 23 October 2026; no independent specialist review is claimed.

  • Guinness: The Argument That Became a World Obsession
    Oct 24 2026

A bird gets away. A question remains. How did a brewery's idea for settling pub arguments become a book that inspired readers to attempt records of their own?

Global History follows the Guinness Book of Records from its remembered Irish origins to the McWhirter brothers, the 1955 publication, the evidence behind a record, and Ashrita Furman's first successful record in 1979. The ending returns to the bird — and to what happens when an answer becomes a target.

English narration: Adam Stone, generated with ElevenLabs. Original music and synthetic illustrative effects; no archival recordings or invented historical dialogue. Independent editorial production, with no arranged sponsorship or paid product placement.

Sources checked on 21 October 2026. Brand recollections and present-day rules are attributed. Exact publication dates differ across accounts; the narration uses 1955. No independent historian review is claimed.
