  • 41. What If You've Been Solving the Wrong Problem?
    Jun 17 2026

It was eye-opening when a couple’s therapist told me and my husband many years ago that “money and intimacy issues are never about money and intimacy.”

There’s a lot behind it that couples typically miss, and that’s why a trained (and hopefully objectively impartial) party, such as a therapist or coach, NOT your mother or mother-in-law, can be so helpful in conflict resolution.

When we keep thinking that the problem is purely financial, we overlook the many other issues at play, such as control, habits, blame and victim mentality, power struggles, a sense of superiority and/or inferiority, abuse, etc.

In this episode, I talk about the idea that you might be trying to solve the wrong problem, and that’s why it feels like living in a hamster wheel. You work so hard to solve an issue, only to see it creeping back over and over again.

And you won’t want to miss my own drama with “bad hair as a teenager,” only to realize I was trying to solve the wrong problem… Turns out, when I realized what the problem really was, I actually had really beautiful hair!!

All jokes aside, I hope you enjoy this new episode of Get Out of the Rut.

  • 40. Feeling Stuck? You’re Solving the Wrong Problem
    May 6 2026

If you’ve ever felt stuck… like something is off, and you should be moving forward but you’re not… Well, this episode is for you.

In this conversation, I’m offering you a completely different way to look at “feeling stuck.”

Because most of the time, you’re not actually stuck.
You’re just trying to solve the wrong problem.

I’m going to walk you through what’s really happening when you feel this way, and why it has less to do with motivation, mindset, or fixing yourself… and more to do with something much simpler.

This might change how you see your patterns completely.

    • What You’ll Learn in This Episode:
    • Why “feeling stuck” doesn’t mean something is wrong with you
    • The real definition of being stuck (and why it’s simpler than you think)
    • The pattern that keeps you waiting instead of moving
    • Why your energy feels disconnected from your life
    • The difference between thinking about change vs. completing action
    • How “incomplete action” is what actually keeps you stuck
    • A simple way to start moving again — without forcing yourself

    Episode Prompts:

    • Take a moment and ask yourself:
    • What is one thing I keep saying I’ll do… but I’m not doing?
    • What is the next step I’m avoiding?
    • Where am I waiting to feel ready instead of moving?
    • What would it look like to simply complete the next step, without overthinking it?

  • 39. Stop Trying to Be Consistent Until You Define It
    Mar 2 2026

I used to believe my lack of consistency was the reason I wasn’t succeeding enough in business.

But then I started asking myself:

    Why does “consistent” mean weekly?
    Who decided that?
And why am I judging myself by a definition I never chose?

    Because here’s the truth:
You can’t build a life you love using someone else’s definition of success.

This episode will challenge the way you define consistency, success, and even your own desires, so you stop chasing goals that were never really yours.

Here’s what you will take away from this episode:

    • Why I believed I was “inconsistent,” and what I realized instead.
    • How borrowed definitions can shape the way we judge ourselves.
    • Why you might be circling a goal you don’t even truly care about.
    • How to redefine success in a way that actually aligns with who you are.
    • The question you must ask before setting your next goal.

    And much more…

If you like what you heard, make sure to follow me on Instagram, and we can keep the conversation going there!!

    Much Love to you,

    Thais Glenn
