  • GXTF: Greatest Hits #1
    Apr 14 2026

I was going to say that I loved my first few episode chats so much that I felt a montage would be fun and intriguing for listeners. While that is true, I do love the chats with my friends at the beginning of the episodes, the reality is that I was scrambling for guests this week. My sound engineer is going on tour across the country and I had to create 4 episodes in one week before he left. I wish I were capable of bullshit but I’m just not anymore. I hope these conversations make you laugh like I do whether you’re a first time listener or a returning friend.

Thanks so much for listening—I hope you enjoy.

  • Rockin' in the 80's
    Apr 7 2026

Welcome to Gen X TrustFall; the podcast dedicated to planned and unplanned midlife changes and the ability to trust in the unknown.

I’m Carla Loomis. With Spring in the air and concert season approaching, I thought I would lighten things up a bit. If you grew up in a small town like I did, concerts were a big deal and snagging a ticket was like winning the lottery. On this week’s episode, I chat with Donna Silva, my brother Nick Mariottini, and my bestie Anne Davis about their 1980’s concert experiences.

Thanks so much for listening—I hope you enjoy.

  • Surviving and Thriving: Chelsea's Story Part 2
    Mar 31 2026

This is the second in a two-part interview with Chelsea. If you haven’t listened to part one of this interview, you may want to do so for context.

When the interview left off in part one, Chelsea described her chaotic childhood, the loss of her baby very close to the delivery date, and a tumultuous marriage. Part two continues her story just after the birth of her second daughter and the beginning of her addiction.

To protect everyone's privacy, many names have been omitted. Some pieces of the audio may sound choppy or garbled out of necessity. The choice to mention Chelsea’s second family, the Delcom’s, is hers.

This episode contains descriptions of drug abuse, sexual abuse and the loss of a child. Please take care while listening.

  • Sleep Routines and Retirement Dreams
    Mar 17 2026

Gen X TrustFall is the podcast dedicated to planned and unplanned midlife changes and the ability to trust in the unknown.

In today's episode, my bestie Lisa Mitchell and I chat about how our sleep abilities and rituals have changed from our college days. In part 2 of this episode, I decided to change things up a bit and brought in an expert. Robert Freitas is a local social worker and therapist, and we spoke about the social and emotional changes people of a certain age may be experiencing as they get ready to retire and move into the next chapter in life.

  • TrustFall Mini Episode: Christmas Revamp
    Mar 3 2026

Gen X Trustfall is dedicated to planned and unplanned midlife changes.

Sometimes I have a segment that doesn't quite fit with a longer form interview. This week's episode is one of those, so I've chosen to release it on its own.

If you struggle to enjoy the holidays and find yourself wondering why, this is the episode for you. Chico girl Amy Clifford returns to discuss our separate Christmas traumas and our need to find a different way to holiday.

    I hope you enjoy.
