Hello and welcome to the first ever episode of 'Good Vibrations'. Thank you so much for joining me on this exciting expedition through the swinging sixties.
On today's episode we are exploring the history of gay liberation, tracking the journey from the Wolfenden Report in 1957 to the Sexual Offences Act ten years later. We will learn all about the Homosexual Law Reform Society and the Gay Liberation Front from archival material based in the Bishopsgate Institute. The real voices of those who were there will guide us through the past and let us ask - have things really changed?
I hope you enjoy the episode!
My deepest thanks to Stuart Feather, Martin Kaufman and Dan Glass.
