This week on All Roads, Jeffery Robinson sits down with Dallas Goldtooth to discuss the connection between activism and acting, the power of narrative, and how Goldtooth's Dakota identity informs it all.

About Dallas Goldtooth: Dallas Goldtooth is a Dakota actor, comedian, stage performer, and public speaker from the village of Cansayapi (Chan-shah-yah-pee) within the territory of the Oceti Sakowin (ow·cheh·tee shaa·kow·een) people. He has performed on Comedy Central and the BBC and an actor and writer on FX’s award-winning Reservation Dogs. He is a film writer, producer, playwright, and published poet. He is also a Dakota language activist, cultural teacher, dedicated father, and loving husband. Goldtooth was the Keep It In the Ground campaign organizer for the Indigenous Environmental Network, an environmental justice organization led by his father. With IEN, Goldtooth led campaigns against the Keystone XLpipeline and the Dakota Access Pipeline. He was a water protector during the Dakota Access Pipeline protests at Standing Rock Indian Reservation. About The Who We Are Project: The Who We Are Project is a nonprofit organization challenging the dominant narrative of our nation’s founding, demonstrating how anti-Black racism was and remains a central part of U.S. history, and working to promote education, discourse, healing, and change.

The Who We Are Project produces media and educational resources about our history of anti-Black racism and how our past has shaped our present – so that we can know who we are.
